[color=7FFFD4]An older member of the Star Guardians, Xayah was not one to be humorous. People who got on her bad side were always given the cold shoulder due to her not wanting to deal with wastes of time. Whenever she was on a mission, she preferred to do it quick rather than play around, a trait that her lover and fellow Guardian Rakan dislikes. She has however, mellowed down over some time thanks to the help of close friend and also fellow Guardian, Ahri. Doesn't change anything about her temper though. The only people who've managed to put up with her were Rakan and Ahri. Her skills as a Star Guardian are also worthy of note. Leading a life of rebellion before being chosen by the First Star has trained her to be quick on her toes, forging the mentality to hit hard, and hit fast...before [b]they[/b] get her. Now a fully-fledged Star Guardian, she does her part on the team and keeps the universe clean of nasty creatures from the[/color] [color=8A2BE2]Void.[/color]

[color=BA55D3]"Deadly and precise, Xayah is a Vastayan chosen by the First Star to protect the world. She uses her speed, guile, and razor-sharp feather blades to cut down anyone who stands in her way. Xayah fights alongside her partner and lover, Rakan, to protect Runeterra from otherworldly invaders."[/color]

[color=7FFFD4]Before the First Star's intervention, Xayah was a Vastayan who was fighting for her race. Humans, who seeked to conquer Ionia, have continuously occupied the Vastayans' lands to fulfill their greedy and selfish purposes. As the Lhotlans slowly dwindled over the years, a teenage Xayah decided to reason out with the humans to try to come to some sort of agreement. As she ventured out into nearby villages however, the cold, hard truth of the world was revealed. Villagers who saw her were amazed at her feathers, thinking they were priceless treasures. Because of this, they grouped up and tried to nab a few off her. Others were scared due to her not-so-normal figure and contacted authorities. This then forced her to defend herself. Xayah's attackers were soon given a lesson on why they shouldn't get on her bad side, with dead bodies chock-full of quills trailing behind her.

Upset at what happened, she returned to her village only to find nobody. Not even her father. She scoured the area, only to discover that an ancient Vastayan temple was tainted by shadow magic which disrupted its connection to the spirit realm. Xayah destroyed said temple, with magic flowing back into the surrounding lands. It was quite beautiful, but her tribe was still missing. In the following years, she went from stronghold to stronghold to try and find her tribe. This is the time when her nickname, [color=BA55D3]"The Violet Raven"[/color] was born. Nothing else mattered to her, only the next mission. Fate had different plans however.

During one of her missions, a small purple bird approached her out of nowhere. Thinking it was a threat, Xayah immediately went on guard against the strange and sparkly creature. The bird chirped at Xayah, which made her flinch. Somehow, she understood what the bird chirped at her. It made small loops around her as it continued to chirp. Phrases of "joining" and "Star Guardian" were flowing into Xayah's mind, lowering her guard. Seeing this, the bird took the chance and landed on her shoulder. It introduced itself as [color=FF1493]"Saki"[/color], a name Xayah found cute. As the Vastayan cleared up a few things with Saki, she agreed to follow the bird to where it wants to take her. 

She soon found herself before the [color=E0FFFF]"First Star"[/color] in the vastness of space. It spoke to her, telling her of the new fate it has bestowed. Taking the First Star's words to heart, Xayah decided to abandon her previous life and joined the ranks of the Star Guardians. With her skills and resolve, she won the hearts of many citizens through her deeds of kindness...but none could fill the loneliness her heart holds. Years without the company of a fellow Vastayan has led her to believe that her race had gone fully extinct. This, coupled with her no-nonsense attitude, has pushed other students from the academy away from her. None of them wanted to deal with her emotional baggage. Saki seemed to be her only companion, until a new recruit decided to introduce himself. Xayah couldn't believe her eyes. Right there in front of her, was a Vastayan of tall stature. With a small green bird by his side, the Vastayan introduced himself as [color=00FFFF]"Rakan"[/color]. Xayah nearly tore up at the sight of him. After all, its been so long since she last saw a fellow Vastayan. With a barrage of questions being thrown at Rakan, he agreed to answer all of them on the one condition that she partner up with him. Albeit reluctant due to his flamboyance, she eventually agreed and found out that Rakan wasn't so bad. 

Fast forward to today and now they're Star Guardians who can't be separated. Xayah herself was surprised when she realized that she had fallen in love with the dancing prodigy. He became the only exception to her hatred of annoying people. The duo, along with their new team, continue to protect Valoran City, their new home, and the entirety of Runeterra from invading threats.[/color]
