Dr. Emett wasn’t entirely sure if the King would agree to all of this but it would be nice if he did, he would have peace of mind the girl was being looked after. As much as he wanted to ensure her care, cost kept his hands tied with these matters. Especially with keeping up a profit and paying bills in the Capital. It wasn’t easy. Nodding to Caspain as he had given his advice and the agreement that the Prince would pass on the medication to his father, he bid him goodnight before heading back to his office. Already making plans to get the mirror fixed in the room, by noon the girl would be let out so he had arranged for someone to come in the evening to do the task. Good luck. He thought as he sat down at his desk, he would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation the Prince was going to have with his father. Iris had been quite happy in her room, but she was curious, she wondered what he had gone out to talk with the doctor but at the same time she knew she shouldn’t pry. Especially as he had been so kind, she didn’t want to upset him in any way. Tapping her fingers against the bed as she waited, she couldn’t help but hum the music she had been listening to earlier with him. It was so nice having the music fill the room and it made it feel much more comfortable as otherwise it felt cold in here, there was nothing homely about hospitals. He’s been gone for a while; I wonder if he is okay? The thought crossed her mind as she looked back at the door wondering if everything was alright. It was getting close to visiting times to be over with so maybe he hadn’t been allowed back in? I hope that’s not the case. I didn’t get to say goodbye. Iris thought glumly to herself as she glanced to the window. Night-time was upon them and she could see the colourful lights of the capital, probably businesses and restaurants still open at this hour. Perhaps even clubs for those party goers. She was quite excited at the possibility of going out there and seeing it, perhaps getting back her memories of places she used to go too. “Hey!” Grinning as he returned to the room, she sounded excited that he returned. Oh jeez, I sounded way too enthusiastic, I hope he didn’t notice. “Well it was a little boring but it’s fine! You had something to do, did it go okay?” She didn’t want to ask about it, but she still wanted to know if he was okay especially as they had taken a little while. “Oh! I was thinking tomorrow we could visit that two-star café again, maybe I’ll even get the coffee?” Chuckling as she knew there was a coffee machine outside and it would really turn the hospital room into that two-star café they joked about.
