With the sun peeking through the window into her eyes, Maxine was forced to roll over and get up. She'd lost the Nightcrawler look which told her she probably would change back to normal when she was asleep, neat. She headed to the cafeteria and found just students there. Not having been there long maybe they just took days off from time to time so she didn't say much about it. But that meant there wasn't much to choose from.

Unlike Maxine, Estella had been there long enough and thought it unusual that none of the adults were there in the cafeteria that morning. Normally something like this would have been announced. But not having much of an explanation it could very well be coincidence. Also since she didn't need prepared food she just ate any of the fruits and vegetables out.
