A combination of smoke, sleepless nights, and rarely the motivation to eat keeps her rather small even as a young woman. She has a pale complexion as she's most active at night and brown eyes with subtle flecks of dark green. At work, she's easily mistaken for a man covered in grease and hiding her figure under a baggy uniform. But when she's not at work...well, about the same. Her short dark hair doesn't help, either, but it's the most manageable. It's common for her to skip out on heavy makeup and feminine clothing in favor of comfort and practicality. When she does feel like performing the part of a woman, it's at a late night bar or club.
BACKGROUND
Flynn's home life wasn't the best growing up: while her family was relatively well off, her parents fought a lot. Perhaps it was the consequence of marrying young and in rebellion of those who might have known better. Maybe it was her father's drinking habit or her mother's interest in other men. Whatever it was, Flynn was only happy at her youngest, unaware of the problems of her parents. As she grew older, she grew rather distant to them both. Her interest in school was nonexistant by middle school, and she was one of the kids already experimenting with drugs, sex, and alcohol. In high school, the problems only escalated. She would be caught for minor crimes--vandalism, trespassing--and tried as a minor for slightly more serious ones involving damage to property and using. However, she wasn't stupid, and adults could see it. She never stepped too far into delinquent life. She did the absolute bare minimum she could to pass each year, and even took on a couple extracurriculars since it meant more time away from home. However, she never graduated high school. In an affair gone wrong, Flynn's mother was killed. Her father put away. The other man gone without a trace. And Flynn was suddenly at the mercy of the foster care system. She bared abuse and neglect that often comes to foster children for a couple years until she finally turned eighteen--it was the summer just before senior year of high school. Deciding graduating wasn't worth being tossed around in the foster system for another year, she packed a bookbag and left everything about her childhood behind her. Now, for the last several years, she's been working as a mechanic in Atlanta at one of the few locally owned and operated shops. When she arrived at eighteen and lost, the owner and manager took pity on her. He helped her learn the trade, make the money to rent her own place just outside the city, and even gave her more than three strikes in tardiness, attitude, and other things. However, her professionalism has always been called into question. And now, with that sweet old man retiring soon, she'll be at the mercy of his son who has a clear distaste of her. Should he take over, she'll have to find another job.
