Ethan watches as the round thing slithers around the girl, quieting down fairly quickly as she gave it attention. After a few moments, he says, "Yeah. That thing must get annoying if it doesn't get what it wants." Suddenly, shouts from the hall reach his ears, accompanied by the sound of heavy footfalls. Grinning, he turns toward the door as five guards run into the room, weapons drawn. "Stick with me, girlie," Ethan says as sharp-looking fragments of stone begin to rise around him, breaking through the floor easily, "and you'll be just fine." The shards then begin flying toward the guards, slicing into their body armor as if it were wet paper. One of the guards' guns fire as his finger instinctively tightens around the trigger, sending the bullet flying into Ethan's shoulder. However, the young man doesn't seem to notice as he begins to chuckle, stepping out of the cell as blood begins to drip from his arm.
