I made some bold statements with this character sheet, assuming that between the mixture of magic and futuristic technology that a few things would be possible or true to the setting. If they aren't, I can change them. Also, if need be, I can update the timeframe of my character's past. Be'wa has lied, cheated, stolen, and fought for years as she evaded what she saw as authoritative laws forced upon her by the Empire. Although she is less aggressive toward her fellow man in these times, seeing a familiar struggle in those around her, Be'wa is still willing to take what she wants when she wants it. The woman seems to not only thrive in this new world, but actively enjoys it as well. History Hailing from a semi - nomadic desert tribe that found home in the far reaches of the Empire, Be'wa had a harsh but empowering upbringing that led her on a path of self dependence and disrespect toward authority. It was even in her blood, as her people had escaped persecution for years, migrating to different areas over millennia as they struggled under one ruler or another. They had finally found peace in a mostly resourceless, uncolonized desert. Be'wa's people had lived in their vast desert for a few hundred years by the time she was born. Growing in these conditions, following the few water and food sources seasonally, Be'wa survived through extreme conditioning and cultural tradition. Although the Empire had eventually began harvesting what they could from the area, cities sprouting sparsely across the barren space, it still mostly belonged to the few roving bands of desert folk. This also provided an opportunity for these hardened people, which was previously unavailable. Although the nomads had no desire to chase away the Empire's colonists, they saw the potential for raids on their supplies and soon began forming war bands that would strike and then disappear back into the elements. Be'wa lived this way for a long time before eventually seeking more. Taking her disruptive skills, she soon entered one of the cities that her kind frequently attacked and stole from. She was not the only to do this and because of such, Be'wa's kind had gained a reputation to be fierce barbarians that became mercenaries at a cheap cost, seemingly enjoying the acts of violence. Be'wa had no trouble finding work but didn't truly settle in until she found a crew of pirates willing to take her away and raid the Empire's trade ships. The allure of riches and excitement pushed her to join and soon enough she became an infamous criminal. Be'wa and her cohorts proved to be a skilled group of marauders, becoming somewhat well to do in a few years time. Be'wa took this opportunity to modify herself, putting most of her money into basic gene strengthening, modification, and therapy. Because of this, she has a much longer lifespan than fellow Human counterparts, requires food and water at a less severe rate, and is generally more physically capable. Although she is nowhere near as powerful as other species and has absolutely no magical abilities, which leaves her open arcane influence, Be'wa may be seen as a force to be reckoned with among her peers. Years of looting and fighting came to an end when the crew was finally captured by the Imperial military. They were all set to be executed, as each of them had racked up quite the list of crimes and had caused drastic damages to the Empire's trade, which was very important now that they had come across a new enemy simply known as The Corruption. Due to lots of red tape set up in the process of execution, even for such vile enemies of the state, Be'wa and company sat in prison for some time. Long before their death date, the complex was abandoned as all military personnel were called to fight with the last remnants of the Empire. A sole guard, feeling morally inclined to release the prisoners, opened the gates to every cell before escaping. Free again, the crew set out to resume their ways, soon finding that the Empire was collapsing and the world was changing as the Corruption took hold of everything around them. Instead of fighting the Corruption or even running and hiding, the crew used this as an ample opportunity to pillage and loot everything around them, using the tactics they have for years, avoiding the Corruption when they could, able to roam without persecution by the Empire. It's been some time since their escape. The Empire no longer exists. Huge empty cities litter the land with what few survivors there are hiding in the woodwork of the realm. Be'wa roams like the days of her youth, though now she is alone as her crew has perished with time. The marauder woman is now mostly able to subsist off of scavenging, hardly ever having to fight for what she now needs. Things are a lot simpler now and although survival is a fight in itself, what has she been doing her whole life but surviving? Abilities -Adept at travel and surviving with few resources -Physically capable of going longer without food or water -Longer than normal lifespan and stronger immune system -Years of informal combat experience
