[indent]Andre Raymond Martin was born on October 1st, the first of two children of newlyweds Michelle and Raymond Martin. The small family resided in a two bedroom apartment in Queens for the first six years of Andre's life, and moved to a Brooklyn townhouse when he was seven. Growing up, Dre was very close to each of his family members, his younger sister especially. Andre had always been super protective of Chanel, and always made sure to be there for her whenever she needed him to be. The four rarely fought or had any major arguments, and even though they weren't the most fortunate family in the world, they always had a certain positive outlook on life that helped push them through even the hardest of times. Everything changed for the Martin siblings, however, when they suddenly lost both of their parents in a car accident at the ages of thirteen and fourteen. Dre and his sister immediately went into the care of their father's brother following the death of their parents; they'd been given two days to pack up their lives, say their goodbyes, and travel down to Florida where they would soon move into a gated community with their estranged, wealthy Uncle.

It was basketball and the theatre that got Dre through such a rough period in his life. Although he was constantly smiling and goofing off when around his friends, it wasn't until after Junior year that he could say he was finally happy again. By his Senior year, Andre had grown to become one of King's Academy's star players; and although receiving multiple offers from colleges, the young man decided to commit to Florida A&M University so that he could stay close to his sister. There, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre; he would have used this as a back-up plan had he not been drafted into the NBA.

Life changed drastically for Dre once he'd graduated college and begun his new career as a point guard for the Brooklyn Nets. He ended up moving back to his hometown, where he rented a condo down the street from his sister's place. And when money started to roll in, he made sure to give back to his community while also indulging in expensive cars, clothing, and even women. And it was only up from there; as the years went on, Andre continued to play ball and invest a good portion of his money in black-owned businesses, his sisters' included. As far as his love life went, Andre never really got into any serious relationships; most of the girls who showed any interest in him turned out to only be in it for his money.

To say that Andre is excited about attending his high school reunion would be an understatement. Unlike a lot of people, Andre actually had the time of his life at King's and couldn't wait to see all of his old friends that he'd fallen out of touch with.
