[indent]Brent inherited his father's Filipino skin color and looks the most like his father than his twin brother does. In addition to that, he's quite tall and he does appear to be lanky to those not directly next to him, but something one might be able to tell when they are mere inches away from him is just how much of a beefcake Brent Walsh really is. With broad shoulders and a body befitting of someone who exercises as much as he can (as well as engaging in several other physical activities), they might see someone incredibly fit. 

Standing at 6'3 and weighing just on the cusp of 200lbs, he is an imposing man, which to those who haven't seen him since high school, might see what he is now as a far cry to how he looked in high school. As someone who inherited his father's tone, he inherited his mother's hazel eyes and naturally wavy hair. There is no doubt about that. When gazing into his eyes, they ooze a honey sweetness that matches his spirit.

He shops frequently at beach shops and purchases clothes that might be best suited for his outdoorsy activities. Though, he also shops at Target and Wal-Mart, purchasing comfortable clothes for someone who is a little larger than the average beefcake bear. this usually results in shirts with funny quotes/designs on them, shorts and jeans, open-toed sandals, and sneakers of various makes. [indent]Right off the bat, Brent comes off as a very strong personality. His energy levels are off the roof and he has a glow about him that makes those around him unable to not smile. He's one of those guys who can befriend just about anyone he comes into contact with. It's not necessarily because they are influenced by his positive vibes but he usually engages in conversation and just lets his natural charm do the rest, but this isn't without some backlash. He's positive, yes; and he definitely will make you smile and laugh, but something to know about Brent Walsh is sometimes he might come across a little [i]too[/i] strong. It's unintentional but the fact remains he usually asserts himself into situations that maybe he's not welcome in. Or maybe there's a private conversation happening between a few people and he injects himself: this could lead to him being ignored.

And this is where the doubts come out. See, he's full of energy, he's charasmatic, and full of cinnamon roll sweetness but he also is effected intensely by whatever reaction he gets in return. If it's welcoming, he'll continue as he was a minute ago, but if rejected, he retreats to a bubble and might even isolate himself for several hours; and here is where he falls into potential depression. That doesn't necessarily mean he's clinically depressed but he goes through moods, but he can bounce back from them given the right, proper trigger that gets him out of his funk. And then it's back to being the spontaneous, adventure-loving, lovable idiot that Brent Walsh has been known to be all his life.

Brent, as a friend, is probably the best you'll have cause he's always there for his friends. As a lover, he's attentive and daring. His impulsive and spontaneous nature hints that he's adventurous in all the ways that matter but also it means you'll never be bored around him. He is a good time, no alcohol required (though it'll make nights with him a lot more entertaining). He can also act a little crazy. Sometimes this might be too much for some, but hell be damned if a party happened without the Brent Walsh energy present.

Basically what all this means is Brent is a simple guy who just wants to be loved and adored by his friends just as he loves and adores them. There's not much more to say other than that!

[color=olive]Upbringing Synopsis[/color]
[indent]The life that Brent had, by all accounts of it, wasn't a bad one. He lived in a home owned by wonderful people and he went to a fancy private school from the time that he was old enough until he graduated. His parents did what they could. Even though they weren't the wealthiest and couldn't give him everything that his classmates did, for all intents and purposes, Brent Walsh had a happy childhood. Along with him and his twin brother, Carlos, the Santiago-Walsh residence wasn't a horrible place to live.

Both of his parents -- Francisco Louis Santiago and Marie Ann Walsh -- were a detective with the Palm Beach Police Department. His father worked in vice and his mother was a rising detective in the Special Victims Unit. Their jobs meant they weren't around as often as they wanted to be, but with his brother, Brent didn't complain much. Truth be told, he was honestly happy. He was able to attend the prestigious King's Academy. 

As the years went on, it became increasingly obvious to everyone that the time his parents devoted to their job so that their boys could attend a good school was taking its toll on the entire family. Carlos began to experiment with drugs by the time he was fourteen, their parents were fighting a lot more frequently than they weren't, and Brent started to gain weight -- like a lot of weight. When Carlos went in the opposite direction, getting skinnier almost to the bone, Brent developed a lot of fat and was, at one point, three-hundred pounds at just fourteen. He didn't seem to be unhappy, but being a boy of color, he was teased horrendously and not only because of the color of his skin. Brent felt like he was an outcast during his 7th-8th-grade years because of the constant remarks made about his weight.

And that's when he made the conscious effort to sign up for football. Two years at the weight brought him slowly out of being prime target practice for the bullies at his school and he was the energetic, happy kid that he always has been. From wrestling to football, Brent became as active as he could; and through his increased activity came the natural allure of friends and other such company. Though he was still big, by the time he was fifteen, a new side of Brent Walsh was seen: the social butterfly side of him. Whether it was him being drawn to others or them being drawn to him, there was no denying he was no longer the loner kid that was teased -- he was the defensive lineman for the King's Knight. He also wrestled from time to time.

As great as all this was, when high school ended, all of the familiarity that came with it sort of just faded away. The friends he really bonded with went off to do their own thing, the girl that he went to prom with got into her favorite college, and Brent stayed in Palm Beach. He never moved away to some college because the one that he attended was just an hour's drive from his family home. For a few years, he did attend the University of Miami with the intention of getting a degree in finance. And sure he even played some college ball, but despite all of this, despite keeping up with his health and slimming down even more in college, Brent was missing something in his life. He knew he couldn't find that at college, so after the second semester of his second year at UM, he dropped out and moved back home.

But that didn't mean he wasted his time. Though he was at home, Brent got a job working at the Toyota car dealership near him. He figured it would be temporary until he figured out what he wanted to do with his life, but like the majority of men in this country, he never got out of his job. If he was to be perfectly honest with himself, he loved his job. He had a natural chemistry, so that made selling cars easy and he wasn't bad on the eyes either, which was the main part of the reason his [i]female[/i] boss at the time kept him around. But all of that aside, he loved his job. It was the purpose that was missing: doing something other than reading textbooks and looking at graphs. Sure a degree would have been nice, but by the time he made manager and his boss, who sold the dealership to him, effectively making him the boss, he was making enough money to make him happy; and in the end, that's what life was about: being happy and not needing any more than what you already have.

Brent was okay with that and come the reunion, he wasn't going to let all of the success get to him. Besides! He's gonna party like it's 2009! As the kids say: turn down for what!?

[sub]There’s a lot of history that has gone into the band of merry men known as The King’s Men. They have known each other all throughout their high school years. Though some have known each other longer than others or, of course, the incredible falling out that happened between Jace and Grayson, there is one mutual link that ties them all together; and at one point in time before Gray spotted Jace with Amanda, they all had one person who seemed to be able to bring them together.

Brent Juan Diego Santiago-Walsh. He was the link.

Brent had never wanted to indulge himself in the drama nor did he ever think he’d find himself in the middle. As a youngster -- or at least when he was twelve or thirteen, he met Grayson and Jason. Immediately, the two of them became quick friends. Brent was a lot bigger in body mass in middle school. At one point, he was close to two-hundred-and-fifty pounds. Because of this, he was often targeted by anyone who felt inferior to themselves and because he was mainly a pacifist, he never fought back. In his stead, Grayson Chambers and Jason Graves dove headfirst into action to defend him. That always resonated with Brent and the bigger Brent never went anywhere without a few of his protectors nearby (Tara O’Leary was around too but that’s a story for another day).

Since meeting them, Brent became a little more social. At one point during the summer between eighth and ninth grades, Grayson and Brent had a lengthy talk. It was Grayson’s suggestion that led him to the path of football and the journey to a better lifestyle. Because of this, Grayson met Sebastian Jace Russo. The two clicked rather well. Jace saw something special in Brent. He was sloppy in the beginning but it was apparent Brent’s specialty was defensive lineman and Jace ended up helping him. Through Jace, Brent also met who he always saw as his high school sweetheart, Tessa Mendoza (another story for later).

Brent's ability to make friends with just about anyone became especially apparent when he found an unlikely friendship with his brother's friend, Caden Burke. When his brother Carlos was going through his drug addiction and survived it, it was poetry that helped him get through it; and through poetry, Carlos and Caden became friends. Brent was a big-time support system for his brother and he and Caden were always near. Brent was an avid fan of poetry, so it was natural he was around Caden a lot. Naturally, this meant Caden became fast friends with Brent's friends and soon found himself among Brent's best bros and also a proud, if not sentimental, member of The King's Men.

The evolution of the King’s Men grew with Alexander. Someone who Brent met through unorthodox means. Brent was your typical jock in the sense that academics often escaped him, so on multiple occasions, he needed help. One science project many moons ago, Brent asked for Alex’s help and the two kind of just clicked. Brent’s charm and the down-to-earth nature Alex possessed was an easy friendship. And then, their friendship grew when Brent was there for Alex when Everly died. It was what bonded them as best friends and Brent cherishes Alex all the more for it.

Certainly not last on the list, Andre Martin and Brent Walsh, much like he and Jace, bonded over sports. Likened to his friendship with Jace and Tessa, Andre was one of the people in Brent’s life who helped him on his journey to fitness and living a better life for himself. Outside of that, Brent and Andre always found enjoyment out of playing some b-ball or even some football with the other boys. Honestly, there’s something entirely wholesome about Brent’s relationship with Andre. Despite the distance, Brent’s maintained adequate contact with him. Whenever the Nets come to Miami, better be certain that Brent has a front-row seat and backstage passes waiting for him!

At the end of the day, these six men, though life after high school got in the way of constant communication or for two individuals in particular refused to talk, they all have one mutual thread that will forever bind them. Jace and Grayson’s beef be damned, Brent Walsh is the one person who unites them. Come hell or high water, The King’s Men will ride together again!

[center]At its core, the friendship between Tessa and Brent is one that is entirely wholesome and supportive. From day one when they met through Jace, the two had been fast friends. She was one of many who he cites as his reason for being able to maintain his healthy lifestyle. And though Jace and he still workout occasionally, Tessa is the most frequent workout partner he has. Her support and friendship means the world to them. 

During their days whilst attending King’s Academy as students, there was a brief time where Brent and Tessa dated. It only lasted for a few months, but he will forever remember those being some of the happiest months he’s had. He was still plenty chubby back then, so it wasn’t like all of the girls were lining up to date the defensive lineman of the King’s Knights, yet the one who Brent knew to have sort of reputation (if the rumors were to be believed) actually dated him for a good while. Maybe it was brief and maybe it was a simple high school crush that ended producing a meaningful friendship full of mutual, somewhat platonic love and adoration, Brent often wonders what could have been.

And maybe that’s why he never…

Brent does wonder who they could have been but there was no way in heck he would ever trade a what if, unclear life for the friendship he has with her now. That means more to him than any dream scenario that pops into his mind from time to time. Be it friendship or otherwise, Brent Walsh is thankful every day to have such a good friend and positive influence on life.

There was a moment before ...everything that happened at prom that changed a lot of relationships that were connected to Brent where he tried to prevent it, but being so indirectly involved, Brent couldn’t. He tried to be there for Willow as much as he could, but between how things ended with her and Grayson and all of the in-between events, she didn’t seem to be in a place to receive his particular brand of help. 

By the time graduation came, after the end of the year party and she went off on her own post-high school adventures, Brent and Willow’s contact sort of just faded.

[indent]Throughout a majority of their high school years, at least from where Brent was concerned, he didn’t particularly care for Alison. He didn’t know her, of course, so it wasn’t as though there was anything he had against her, but the vibe she gave off back then wasn’t one that was met positively with him. And keep in mind this was the guy who made friends with everyone. As it just so happened, Brent was quick to judge a book by its cover (something Tara did with him).

During one time in their Junior year, they were partnered in a project for one of the classes they shared. As one might suspect, Brent wasn’t exactly thrilled about this but he went into it with an open mind. For all the times he tried to win over Tara and got her to see he wasn’t like all the jocks, Brent knew he had to give Allison the same benefit of the doubt, which he was glad he did because she wasn’t at all what he thought. She was bossy, sure, but there was a kindness and a level of understanding that Brent didn’t think existed.

Safe to say, they were fast friends and Brent no longer consciously avoided her. They didn’t run with the same crowds, but when they saw each other in the halls, Brent waved, said hello, and generally just was friendly to her. Allison was someone he could call a friend. Since high school ended, they didn’t speak much, but Brent sold her a Toyota Prius and if her Facebook was to be believed, she still drives it to this very day. Talk about a quality motor vehicle. Only Toyota provides that kind of long-lasting quality.

[indent]Brent being a jock really affected the first impressions that Tara had on him in all the wrong ways. He thought she was cool but she avoided him like the plague. Only when she saw there was more to him than his football player persona did a friendship form. After that, it was as simple as them being defenders of the bruised and abused. Together, they protected those who could not protect themselves. And of course, being Teddy’s prom dates.

To this day, they still maintain contact, but due to their careers and life in general, the only times they get to hang out is when their days off align so they could work out together. Brent’s main workout bud is Tessa but when Tess is on call, should Tara be free, they will pump iron and treadmill race until they can’t pump and run no longer!

[indent]There is nothing simple, misleading, or complex about Brent’s feelings about Amanda Woodall-Cross. Brilliant mind, extremely beautiful, and ten-times as scary, Brent never bothered to engage in any conversation with Amanda. He was never one to hate her, even if she was center stage in what divided two of his best friends. He knew that there was a lot more to it, but because of her, two of his best friends don’t talk to each other. Maybe there’s a small part of her that hates her for that, but that would require Brent to have a place for hate in his life. He let go of the high school drama when he got his diploma, but being back might drudge up those same problems...

[indent]It’s hard to say whether or not Grace is a nice person or not. She and Brent have mutual friends, but he never bothered to get to know her. It wasn’t because their paths never crossed. She was Dre’s girlfriend during high school, so of course, she was around when he was. Whether it was at parties or during lunch, there were chances they were near each other, but Brent had this idea early on that she was someone he didn’t want to get to know (similarly to how he was with Allison in the beginning). Because of that, he never bothered to get to know her.

In his years of reflection, maybe he was a little harsh and didn’t give her the proper benefit of the doubt. Brent often thinks that he was way too hasty and maybe he shouldn’t have been so quick to judge. There was no use to think on the could have been. Maybe during the reunion, his opinion of her might change. He’s certainly open to the possibility.

[indent]Over the years, Brent tried to understand what went wrong between him and Reina. He wasn’t so blind to think they were excessively close, but she was really close to Caden and that meant that Brent was friends with her regardless if she actually liked him. And given all of this, it stood to reason that whenever Brent had a suspicion that she wasn’t doing great, given it was his nature to help, he tried to do just that. 

Brent had always been pretty observant and it wasn’t like Reina was subtle in her downward spiral, but he never once thought that made her less than anyone who had their stuff together back then. He did what any decent human being would do, especially one who was so close to someone she happened to be as well: he decided to help her and do everything that he thought was right. In every time he reflected back, Brent knew he did everything that he was supposed to.

So why did Reina explode on him like she did? He was only trying to help. Even to this day, Brent has never understood what he said that set her off so much. His biggest regret was never following up and trying to get to the bottom of it. Maybe things would have been different. Maybe Brent wouldn’t have the feeling in his gut when it came to Reina that she was suffering in some way and he didn’t push a little harder to help her.

[indent]Honestly, the only thing that Brent could say he knows about Camden is from their social media posts and youtube videos. Outside of that, there wasn’t much interaction between them. Hell, he didn’t even know she went to King’s the same time he did until he saw her mention it in one of her videos. It’s cool, though! He always wanted to meet famous people! Maybe they could have a drink at the reunion sometime.
