Her clothing is often wrinkled or stained by grease, if otherwise as clean as one could expect a soldier in her situation to be. While her natural beauty is undeniable, it is also clear her stressful past weighs on her, her skin paler than a normal Twi'lek's, and her lekku worryingly thin. Bags under eyes make it look as if she is constantly in need of a nap, though her eyes are bright and alert.
Background
Zed'kije never knew a time where her home planet did not have a foreign power. Born shortly before the end of the Clone Wars, she's only known the Empire, she grew up in her parent's workshop, watching and eventually helping him maintain a variety of drones and other computerized systems. Taking after her parents, she soon proved a natural tinkerer and programmer. For years her family did their best to keep their heads down as the Free Ryloth movement and the Empire clashed. The failed attempt on Palpatine and Vader's life; the stationing and later hijacking of a Qusar carrier-cruiser; and simple strengthening of the Rebel Alliance all led to escalations of the Imperial crackdowns However it was events on the far side of the known Galaxy that shattered the delicate status quo of Zed's life. The sudden destruction of Alderaan and equally stunning destruction of the Death Star at Yavin the led to ISB agent Thallia Dhruv arresting her family in a wider sweep for Rebel sympathizers, betrayed by confessions from captured Free Ryloth fighters. Zed begged Dhruv for clemency, but as clear Rebel supporters her family would be executed with almost no delay. However Zed struck up a deal with Dhruv: She would serve the agent, in any capacity she could, for her Family's life. Recognizing an asset when she saw one, Dhruv accepted. And so started Zed's servitude, comforted by the knowledge that her family was still alive. Several years passed. Dhruv kept her end of the deal up, passing along a weekly letter from Zed's parents. Zed kept up her end of the deal, acting as Dhruv's servant and personal slicer. Extracting records from drones, cracking Rebel encryption, and spying on other Imperials (among other tasks) meant that dozens of people were damned to the mechanization of the ISB apparatus. But at least the letters came. Dragged from one end of the Galaxy and back over and over, the letters arrived like clockwork, detailing her family's life as slaves at the Yaga Minor shipyards. The problem arose when Zed learned of a slave uprising on Yaga Minor. Details were scarce, but what she did know was that her parent’s letter arrived at the same time the news flash reached Dhruv, and it mentioned nothing of an uprising. While the next letter did mention it, the seed of doubt had been planted. Working up the nerve, she secretly accessed Dhruv’s datapad to learn more, and to her confusion found several weeks worth of letters already generated and ready to be ‘sent’. Digging deeper she received a gut punch. Her family had been executed on Ryloth shortly after they left the planet. With the wind taken out of her, she covered her tracks, and worked on a way to escape at first opportunity. It took only a few weeks before such a chance was forced onto her. The Emperor’s death soon made it clear just how fragile the Empire’s unity was. Dhruv had only recently been transferred to the Dynali sector aboard the Tartan class frigate Dawn Ray. They were on the way to Taspir II to investigate reports of a Scarlet Moon cell when the local Moff recalled the Dawn Ray to his flagship. Realizing this would be the last time she would be close to being able to escape,Zed grabbed her few belongings and made her way to the escape pods, relying on the commotion of the imminent hyperspace jump to distract the crew. Unfortunately Dhruv was waiting for her. She knew that Zed had figured out what happened to her parents, and was ready to kill Zed before she escaped with what she knew. In the short but intense fight that followed, Zed managed to wrestle Dhruv’s blaster pistol away, and shot her in the chest. With Dhruv on the ground with a sucking chest wound, Zed grabbed the agent's datapad, climbed into a pod, and launched, relying on the automated systems to take her down to the planet as the Dawn Ray jumped into hyperspace. The Scarlet Moon was the first to find her escape pod, and was quite eager to capture an Imperial. To their surprise a Twi’lek came out of the pod wearing the uniform of an Imperial technician, hands in the air. Relieved to be found by the right side, she was more than cooperative, and taken back to the squad’s commander. The wealth of information on the datapad helped convince them to let her join up with the Scarlet Moon, and to this day she remains a dedicated, if still relatively green, member of the organization.
Outlook and Motivation
Spite and Regret. These two factors drive Zed. Had she known that her family were going to be killed either way, she would've chosen to die alongside them. Now, in her mind, she has blood on her hands. She knows exactly what the Empire did to the being she helped expose. Sometimes she could hear them screaming in the interrogation chambers. Sometimes she saw them being exectured in side alleys. All of them were there because she fed the ISB the information. Now, she wants to see the ISB and everything it stood for to burn, and hopefully make up for her past sins. Additionally, being an alien in a notoriously xenophobic organization meant having to be able to diffuse and deflect situations. Slicing: Zed has a lifetime of slicing under her belt, with practical experience with military encryption. She can get into almost any system given enough time. Technician: Zed grew up handing her parents tools and helping them repair all manner of devices, from droids to speeders. She is good with maintaining and repairing machines, especially electronics.
Flaws
Worrier, not a Warrior: Years of being an accessory to the Empire's worst practices, and the intense scrutiny it brought, have made Zed incredibly meticulous. While manageable in a controlled setting, it can become an issue when 'good enough' calls for speed more than perfection. "Traitor": The fact that Zed still uses plenty of classically Imperial equipment, her past helping the ISB, and the conveniently unverifiable story of her 'escape', is enough to leave many distrustful of her actual loyalties. This is a driving factor behind her still being a Private despite her qualifying for promotion

[sub]
Inventory
[/sub] [sup][sup][sup]
[/sup][/sup][/sup]
Credits and Valuables
10 Credits
Clothing and Jewelry
Synthleather jacket, Grey undershirt, pants, Combat boots Padded finger-less gloves Goggles with built in display and glare reduction
Tools and Weapons
Imperial Army Armor Chest-piece: Her only piece of armor, taken off a dead soldier soon after joining Scarlet moon.
