Warfare:
-In these ages you need guns and swords and giant robots, technology is mostly on par with shrugging off bullets and plasma beams. 
-You need close combat skills, mele skills, range weapon skills. Nowadays a pistol doesn't really cut it since humanity got science fiction stuff. 
-Almost every vehicle can easily hit light speed.
