He sensed an unwanted intruder for a moment near the Love Pillar, though this sensation was short-lived, like a cat the old man’s hair stood up with rage. But it was quickly quelled, outbursts would need to wait till they were all gone- “These god-damned kids and their short-sighted thinking! I can’t believe this, Kuuto! I want you to go to the River Estate, there should be evidence there! If the Spirit’s birdies are there pay them no mind, and if they give you shit, stand your ground with force if necessary.” Minatozaki’s eyes were red with anger, glossed over at the thought of this whole situation- if it were possible steam would blow out from his nostrils and storm cloud would develop over his head. There was also the matter of the Fortune Pillar not showing up. He was never punctual, but him not appearing to the summit could have meant that he had also defected from the Corps. But even the Storm Pillar knew that jumping to conclusions like this was not the right way to go about it- instead he would extinguish those thoughts and handle this matter himself. After his tsuguko left under his own orders, he would make his own venture to that damned punk’s estate and give him a piece of his mind in person. “Also, bring a cage with you- I would like to acquire as many of those damned crows as possible before they all begin to flee for the Ubuyashiki Estate. Take them by force if you need to, they will be a vital resource going forward. And again if the Spirits give you any issues- show them what a Thunder Tsuguko is made of. Understood?” Storm Grandpa was always this opportunistic, that was how he got to the position he was in after all. And, as all of his disciples had been delegated to their tasks and dismissed from his presence- the Storm Pillar took a deep breath and made his way towards the southernmost stairway leading to the next floor up. It was here that his office was located, littered with paperwork strewn across every inch of the room. He would eventually make his way to a large oaken desk where he sat at upon the chair tucked beneath it and mulled over the constant strife that burdened the corps. Maybe this was where all of the pillar’s anger rooted from, or perhaps it was his peers that died at the hands of demons- either or. But the most notable document upon his desk was that of a large manuscript with the Imperial Symbol stamped atop the paper, a letter from the general once again, and the offer ached upon Minatozaki’s mind. Then on another front, ten newly anointed demon slayers quietly marched towards the Sea Pillar Estate with bleak expressions. They slumped, they avoided contact between eachother, and just continued their advance towards what looked like a Seaside Vacation Spot more than anything. But that was of course not the case- and while they did just experience their greatest challenge yet, more would soon come. A few of the Sea Pillar's trusted underlings would await their arrival near the front gates, but their greeting would be fully in the hands of the establishment's master. "There's no reason for me to be alive anymore." A younger, skinny trainee quietly spoke- breaking the silence as he feet met the first steps of the establishment's entrance. "Shut the hell up and keep walking. At least you had your family around for longer than most of us." Snapped another, this one a more angry looking fellow with a buzzcut. "If you guys don't shut up, I'll kill you all." Barked a female, shock-blonde hair too yellow to look at directly in sunlight. Luckily, it was still stormy outside. A crow for Maria would soon arrive with a parchment from the Spirit Estate pertaining to evidence that demons are attempting to create some form of safe haven in the northeastern regions of Japan. The exact location has not been fully disclosed - as information always goes. This was crops ripe for the reaping for any within her midst that wished to get some blood on their hands as while these demons are said to still be eating humans, there's the possibility that someone from that organization may be there. Perhaps it would be useful to have some of Fushigi's scouts accompany them? Or maybe she simply wished to send out her filthy gaijin giant to assist her underlings in the venture to that region. Saburou had quite a bit of his own drama going on. Someone leaking information from within his own estate would have been unheard of before today, perhaps there really was an uprising that slipped beneath all of their collective cognition and had grown into something that was no longer able to be dealt with? The intel he would receive would state that this person was stealthy enough to leave no trace of their tampering - and as well as avoid any of the scouts sent by the Spirit Estate on a number of the routes over an extensive period of time. This mole was skilled, and it was likely that it was someone directly under Saburou himself. And then there's the case with that damned punk ass Fortune Pillar who didn't even have the decency to attend such an urgent meeting. The Storm Pillar would be making his way to their estate, though not today - as there were other needs to be tended to. But what exactly had the Fortune Pillar been doing that was more important than attending a summit of all the pillars to discuss treason and defection within the corps itself? It was clear that the wounded man was exhausted - he probably wouldn’t last much longer. "You know how it is, people can’t ever be happy with their current situation. That’s why old man Minatozaki is gunna end up dying soon. Anyway - we are here." The River Pillar drew his oversized sword from the saya at his back and gracefully slashed through the last few bits of overgrowth that barred their way. If demons had not existed the sight before them would draw one word to mind, unbelievable, it was a single medium sized dwelling surrounded by a barrier of water? It was strange, fish even seemed to reside within the crystal clear liquid that protected the location from intruders. Sitting on the porch of the humble abode was an adult figure with very-very long black hair that nearly reached the floor. They were dressed in a blue-white Yukata with wouldn’t you know it “fish” artfully decorated upon its design. He did not acknowledge the group of people, or perhaps the barrier would prevent him from noticing them at all. Nonetheless, Tamagawa with his sword in hand would clasp it with two hands and entering his breathing trance. His feet dug deep into the soil below as form was produced into his posture, raising the sword high above his head before quickly pressing from the earth in a might leap towards the barrier. “Tenth Current — Aisomegawa” Quickly his sword would be brought down with masterful precision, the blade split through the water and in the blade’s wake the liquid splashed out vigorously towards the River Pillar. But even so, the barrier simply absorbed the force of the blow and dispersed it outwards to be distributed throughout the rest of its body. Tamagawa would then land once again into the moist soil below. Something else would catch the rather air headed pillar off guard - the rain had stopped? "Did you just notice the rain stopped? My - my, despite your strength and skill I believe this student is more perceptive than you.[/sup]
