Ever since the day their child was shot and killed they were shaken by the mention of anything pertaining to "the Incident" Behind the couple was a small table that was a makeshift memorial for their son. Pictures, flowers, rosaries, and his favorite things decorated this table. They listened to the pastor expressing his feelings on the empowered. The television abruptly turned off as his father couldn't handle Pastor Grady's rhetoric. The pastor was referring to the empowered as evil and demons. Despite all that has happened the man would never believe that of his son. The boy who had once sat silently on the couch trying to enjoy a good television show.
