[@Obscurus] There are some characters from the OG OA, yes, but as far as canon is concerned, this is a brand new continuity. 

And yes, it is, though if you don't think it's too much of a stretch, you can opt in for the [i]son[/i] of Hades. Someone who had joined recently dropped, so that role would be open if you think you might want to.
