She spends her day working with corpses to attempt to determine the cause of death, she wears skull earrings, and her general demeanor suits Halloween better than any other time of year. Her personality is well suited for scientific pursuits, as she is able to go through tedious experiments without wanting to rip her hair out. She has the self control and the strength to sit in a quiet room, just waiting. Additionally, she is naturally curious, always wondering about the laws of the universe and how to manipulate things to get a desired outcome. She adores a methodical approach with controls. 

Of course, many people find her company to be unnerving. It may be because she will casually talk about unsolved murder cases and disappearances in ordinary conversation - dropping in statistics about the differences in crime rates in the summer versus the winter. Or perhaps it is because she was a champion fencer in college and could likely skewer them with a broom. Her unsettling aura likely also arises from her candidness - she doesn't lie. If she hates you, she makes that clear - and if you bore her, then she isn't going to waste her time. She's a bit creepy, but that's just how she is. She isn't going to change that about herself for anyone.

[b][color=silver]Biography:[/color][/b] Megan was adopted by a pair of doctors unable to have a child. They had tried just about everything and had resigned themselves to the fact that short of a medical miracle, adoption was going to be the only way to bring a child into their home. They had intended to go adopt a baby, but they just felt drawn to the little girl with blonde braids and took her home with them. And since they expected her to become a doctor as well, they didn't change Megan's last name - they didn't need another Dr. Montgomery in the household, it was confusing enough already. 

Her parents provided a loving household for Megan, but they were also relentless. She had to compete in some sort of sport or participate in an activity, and the only one she showed a remote interest in was fencing, so they paid for her to have private lessons after school three times a week. Each summer, she was sent to at least five different camps, all ranging from different STEM subjects. They worried that she might be troubled, since she was adopted, so she had to attend counseling sessions once a week. In high school, she had to take [i]every[/i] AP class offered, even if it didn't interest her. She ended up graduating two years early. And when it came time for college, they used their connections to get Megan into an accelerated program that combined undergrad and medical school into just seven years. 

Her interest in pathology came from her love of true crime stories and unsolved mysteries, prompting her to take a job as the Junior M.E. in her hometown. She really enjoys the work, finding a sense of fulfillment in working with the cases - though most of her work actually comes from overflow cases from nearby cities that are larger than Wichita. The extreme pressure put on her by her parents has had some psychological ramifications, mainly insomnia and a brief period of suicidal behavior in her first few years of college, but Megan has started to come around the bend. Now that she's living independently and does not rely on her parents financially (they paid for medical school in full), she's able to stay up all night watching horror movies if she wants to.

Despite being one of the oldest children taken by the rebels, the psychiatrist managed to convince her (and her adoptive parents) that she simply had an overactive imagination. After all, every little girl wanted to be a princess, didn't they?
