Natalie Ellis

Natalie knew Lynn wouldn't take it well. She wasn't prepared for how crazy Lynn's eyes were. Natalie felt in danger as the air began to get hotter in the decreasing space betwwen them until Lynn was standing mere inches from Natalie. The tension was palpable, and Natalie's own eyes were starting to look like that of a cornered animal. Not just fear, but that spark. You could tell that they were about to hiss, or growl, or swipe, or charge, or do whatever else it took to survive. Here they were. Two incredibly dangerous girls, both of their hearts were beating fast, both glaring wildly at the other. The tension was palpable. "Please," Natalie muttered incredibly quietly in the silence. "Please don't." She didn't know if she could control herself. If Lynn so much as slapped Natalie right now, one of them was going to die. Natalie was trying her best to stay calm, stay in control. Focus on her heart. Its rhythm. Focus on her breathing. Count her breaths. Please, Lynn, just take my advice and stay here or walk away. Just don't attack me. Please. I will try to kill you. Natalie breathed a huge sigh of relief when Lynn finally declared that she was leaving. Of course she had to get another threat in. Not that Natalie was going to tell anybody about them. It was their choice whether they stayed or left and if they wanted to pretend this never happened that was also their decision. That's what she'd tell security if she got asked why she didn't tell them about the others. Because it's not her decision. It was theirs. Amelia and the other girl left straight after, leaving just Natalie and Archie. Natalie was very grateful that Archie was staying, and when he parroted her own earlier words back to her, that she should look out for each other, her heart skipped and she cocked her head at started at Archie like even she wasn't sure what she had just heard. Then she smiled genuinely, steeled herself and nodded. "Right. Thank you for staying. It means a lot. Plus...if you left and anyone else had heard you scream, I'd have had a really hard time covering for you without namedropping you. So thanks. The others all left, and Lynn was so angry. It's like they're all thinking I've made a mistake. But I haven't." she said aloud, mostly telling herself. "Informing Cara is exactly what a completely innocent student would do if they weren't paranoid or stupid."
