One of them leapt for her and she instinctively put her arms up to cover her face like a shield. Her arms together formed a cube of solid metal that the dog collided with, knocking Nadeko back. Before the robot could regain its footing for another attack, she pointed her arm at its head and pulled. The robot's head stuck to her magnetic limb and she kept pulling until light left its eyes, where she depowered and it fell to the floor with a dull thump. Robots and magnetism don't mix. Feeling a lot more confident, she started running towards one of the bigger, bipedal robots. On her way, two of the dogs jumped at her from either side but were repelled with ease. One of them smashed into a large tree with such force it broke in two. She wondered if she'd be able to use her magnetic power to pull the bigger robot down, so she tried, and immediately fell flat on her face. Guess that plan was a bust. But it did give her a great idea. She tried again, this time aiming her arms higher, and this time not stopping. She realised that she did not have enough power to move such a large mass of metal. She also realised that even if she did, her own mass was nothing compared to that so she'd never be able to stay on her feet. But this could be used to her advantage, as right now, at this very moment, Nadeko was flying through the air, up towards the robot's torso, whereupon she began to climb up the massive robot, careful not to let her magnetism stop, for that would mean grave injury at this height or worse. Her legs got noticeably longer and more muscular to anybody that was watching, and she started to run faster, outrunning the robotic canines. Katsumi was instead heading for the cries for help that she could hear. This was it. This was her chance to earn her place. To prove that she has what it takes to be a Hero! Unfortunately, she wasn't the most alert or trained person out there, so she was tackled by one of the canines. She beefed up her arms, but even punching it with the arms of a boxer had no effect. Of course, it didn't really help that Katsumi had no idea how to punch properly. All she ended hurting her hands. She frantically looked around, and saw a tree branch, which she forced into the robot's jaws, and then rolled over so she was now on top. Now it couldn't bit her, she looked for a switch or cable of some kind. Finding one, she pulled the casing from it and then tugged it. The robot stopped moving. Katsumi breathed a sigh of relief, shrunk her arms back down to normal size and carried on running.
