For your consideration.
Hey kid, what’s your name? "Ernest Gillian! Or you might know me better as Ted Redd! Bruce Huntz? Is there even cable up here?" Huh, interesting...you look more like a...
⛤
Depth perception is kind of a problem for me. What are you even doing here? "I know, right? 'What's a star-studded Los Angelite doing up in Oregon for the summer?' See, when I was a little kid, about seven or so, my parents decided that I should be a star and put my through a whole bunch of child actor agencies to try to get me into something. I was in a few commercials, I was an extra in a couple crime shows, and once I was a single-episode antagonist in a sitcom. Little Billy the Bully. Classic!" "It wasn't until my tween years that I got my first role, and a leading one at that! Ted Redd: Junior Psychic. I was Ted, of course, it was a kinda half-scary action show for kids, like Gooselumps but off-brand, but man did I love playing Ted. It was a blast. Only lasted a couple of years though, and I didn't get anyone role until high school, where I was cast in a teen drama, Olander. I was Bruce, y'know, the doofy but nice jock guy, you know him." "Anyway! I spent nearly my entire life on television, but somewhere after graduating I realized that it wasn't really for me. Sure, I liked doing it, and I still have my agent and it makes a load of money, but it was never my choice, you know? I had hobbies outside of it. I collect butterflies, bird skulls, all sorts of little oddities, but never really anything major or career-based. Some point in May, I got hit hard with that realization, and got in a bit of a funk about it. So I decided to clear my head with a roadtrip, up north and away from LA. We ended up in this weird town off the map, Gravity Falls. I love it here though! It's a really nice change to be in a rink-dink town where the population doesn't leave double digits for once in my life." Anything else you wanna share? Go for it! Ernest has a long-buried stint as a kid in a diaper commercial. It was known as the 'Bedwetter' saga. He really does not like to bring it up.

Hey kid, what’s your name? "Joel. What are you even doing here? "I grew up with my grandparents. Never knew my mom or dad, never wanted to. Ma and Pa, they were nice to me, raised me as best they could, but they were old. Couldn't do much, didn't want to do anything once I was a teen. Left me to myself. It was fine, I could handle myself. LA is bright and fancy, but it's all fake, y'know, people trying to pretend to be better than they are. You see that if you hang around in the alleys, the places people like to hide, like I do. Hated it there." "High school was more the same, only I was surrounded by pretentious upstarts and ego-filled nutjobs. Y'know, teenagers. Then I met Ern. He was a child actor, still had a few roles, and he really liked to talk about them. He got on my nerves at first, but he wouldn't leave me alone for some reason. Always sat with me at lunch. Eventually, though, I got to know him a bit better. He was genuine. Liked a lotta weird stuff and didn't try to hide it. So, y'know, we became friends, even after we got outta school." "Few months ago, Ern came to me, bugging out, talking about how 'life is too long and too short' and 'I need something that's mine'. He was really freaked out over things. He told me he was thinking of leaving LA for the summer, and I decided to tag along. Not that I liked the place much myself. Plus, Ern needed me. He'd probably get eaten by a bear if he stepped foot in nature." Anything else you wanna share? Go for it! Joel likes country music.
