Penelope gave him a small smile and shifted her gaze away from him as she noticed Preston and the other servant arriving with their food. As they set the plates down, she said a word of thanks before beginning to eat her meal. Her appetite still wasn't completely back due to her nerves so the knight took small bites of the food in front of her, largely focusing on the bread as she found it seemed to go down easier than the rest. As Crow spoke up again, she gave her shoulders a small shrug. "I'm honestly not sure. Dimia and Oliver didn't mention what else needed to be done but I'm sure there must be something." she explained. Not only did she assume there was something to do that day but she also hoped there was. The thought of not having anything productive to do to before the party certainly didn't sit well with her. "I plan to go speak with them once I'm finished with breakfast." "So the king gave you the whole day off, huh?" she mused. She was a bit surprised that the king had willingly given him no lessons that when his plans to send him off to Gorm were still currently in effect. Although, perhaps the king simply saw it as a way to bring him further into noble life if he was able to socialize at an event that would have quite a few high ranking nobles. The disgruntlement over his rise to viceroy had died down some and he was learning fast but Crow was still a bit of an outsider in the castle after all. "At least you'll have some time to relax before you get swarmed at the party for dancing." she mused with a smirk. Though that hadn't be able to enjoy their usual meals together because of Crow's efforts to convince other nobles to attend the party, she had still spotted him in the Great Hall on occasion and it seemed there were a few women that were now hovering around him. Unlike Elizabeth, the women were actually a bit amusing to the knight. Their intentions were clear from a mile away and of course, they weren't nearly as bold as the other noblewoman had been. She still wished that Crow and her could just dance freely with each other, but since that wasn't a possibility, she at least found some amusement in their efforts to be appealing to him.
