[@DontCallMeZelda] Duly noted, thanks! Here's a couple of follow-up questions, though. What are the main religion(s) in the four countries? Do all of the countries abhor demons? Do any of them view the Seraph as a sort of savior?
Ah thank you for reminding me. For some reason I thought I had updated that in the Location bios when I moved this to the OOC thread. Most locations in the four countries worship the Mother-Goddess. That being the standard religion, it isn't forced upon the people though. Most who do not exactly believe in her intervention will recognize that she exists and she is a Mother-Goddess of the world of Ruyunae. Like the people of the Holy Kingdom worship her as their main religion. But the people of Sweym Sma focus their worship on a set of twin warrior gods they believe helped found their roots in the desert region. The people of Linmark almost seem uninterested in the Mother-Goddess and instead seem council and teachings from a god they call "The Wise Man". Given this is a very high fantasy setting god/goddess intervention and speaking with mortals is not common but not unheard of. That leaves the people of Elthari, and they aptly worship gods of the Sea. Since their land lost its main connection to the main continent of Ruyunae decades ago their religions have changed as well. The people worship a sect of three gods that each deal with parts of the sea/weather. Unanimously yes all the major cities abhor demons. Now that is just the major cities, there are plenty of small villages and towns we will encounter where that may not be the case. We are going to encounter Demons which are like the "smart ones" so to speak, and then Monsters which are more abundant and act on basic impulses. Kill to eat, protection that sort of thing. Interestingly enough I didn't think anyone would ask that last question. I'll speak plainly, that will change over the course of the RP and I wanted it to be that way given how we interact with each other as a party. But lets say from a standpoint before the RP starts this is the opinion of the Seraph from each hold: Holy Kingdom: Adores the Legend of the Seraph and firmly believes there will be another to come to stop some unforeseen cataclysm in the future. They have believed in this ever since the Seraph of old walked the land. Elthari: Believes in the Seraph but maintains a neutral stance towards them at the moment. Elthari is a big tourist attraction so it is a bit different given how much of a mixing pot of culture it has become. Sweym Sma: The people recognize the legend of the Seraph but many believe them to be an ill omen. A hero that only shows up when a great evil appears? That would mean the arrival of a Seraph means potential destruction. So the people of Sweym Sma have focused on strengthening themselves ever since that fateful day the Seraph of old sacrificed himself. However, they do not judge others that do believe in the Legend or not share their belief. Linmark: The higher ups in the society have too many questions about the legend of the Seraph to firmly say they will place all their faith in one singular person and a band of heroes. A sect of them have been fervently studying the legend of the old Seraph and the great evil that plagued the land long ago and they have discovered a great number of secrets, but they have not disclosed these secrets to anyone but themselves. The regular citizens create dissonance to a degree as the harsh colds and bandit attacks make them ready for a band of heroes to come to their aid. So I would say the only major city that truly views the Seraph and the band of heroes that accompany them as Heroes would be the Holy Kingdom.
