In her group's initiation trial, Kiri successfully managed to kill their monster, but at the cost of a teammate's life. This loss drove a wedge between Kiri and her two remaining teammates, Loona and Colin, though the three eventually became a closeknit, functioning group. Kiri demonstrated an aptitude for monster hunting -- a well trained combatant, highly intelligent, and decisive, her main shortcomings were a lack of interpersonal skills and a propensity for recklessness, bordering on self-destruction. Kiri was the first in her cohort to be promoted to a full Red Hood after a mission with Colin to his hometown of Fallcliff. She refuses to talk about it. Kiri and Colin, once close, are no longer on speaking terms, and whatever progress she made opening up to people was lost. In the aftermath of that mission, Kiri has also put down her sword, instead favoring a simple wooden staff.
