Apparently the pair were enemies but still found the time to race while throwing an assortment of items at one another (he did find throwing turtle shells morbidly hilarious but doubted a banana peel could be so effective) while accompanied by a lot of other characters. He assumed that the Embraced used a lot of his free time dedicated to video games, making a mental note to try to see what was popular nowadays. They didn't really interest him, if only because he preferred to use his time productively, but maybe using his ignorance would work in his favor. Eris had taken all of three steps outside when his phone buzzed. Either Ismene had something to add or Antigone was informing him that she refused to take the holiday off. "Excuse me for just a moment," He bid to Joryldin, holding up his hand once he pulled out his phone. As much as he would have liked to ignore it, he didn't like missing any of his messages, though he was surprised to see this one was from Alderman. What in the world was a 'sursyion'? The fact that he had texted him at all was bewildering enough, the actor confused until a second text came in. There was a situation, it seemed, and this time Eris didn't make any effort into rolling his eyes. He must have bullied another mage and got caught by their vampire. He was surprised he didn't just reduce both of them to tears. He opened his mouth when the third text came, pursing his lips. He swore he didn't understand mortal lingo. 'Ducked', what does that even mean?! Oh, he meant fucked. Fuck, what happened? His thinly veiled annoyance turned into something resembling concern, especially since this was maybe the second or third time Alderman had ever texted him and had actually told him to hurry up. Considering that not having to see one another usually worked in the mage's favor, asking for him rang all sorts of alarms in his head. Check in on Alderman or continue with Joryldin, what a tough choice. But then again, Eris was used to getting his way. He looked up at the dark haired vampire, a small frown on his face. He'd have to remember not to bother Alderman too much later as a small reward for helping him buy a few sympathy points. "Sorry, I think my mage has a problem," He said as he went to dial Maxwell. "Can't very well have fun knowing he has a situation." Well, he could and have zero remorse, but Joryldin didn't need to know that. As he turned to make the call, he spotted his mage not too far off. He beckoned for Joryldin to follow, taking long strides to catch up to him. He placed his hand on Maxwell's shoulder, giving him a questioning look as he spotted his belt in his hand. "...Why aren't you wearing your belt?" He asked.
