[row]Rin The Gate, Alymere: Daybreak[/row][cell] Despite his protests, Sumire once more insisted on throwing herself into danger with no hesitation. But it was for the best, at least like this Rin could keep his eye on the girl and make sure she didn't get herself into trouble without him there to bail him out. He stood by her side with a stoic expression, yet a hint of nervousness peeked through his eyes. These people, he did not trust them, that much was clear in how he held himself during their scouting mission. The woman with the wyvern in particular was one to watch out for, something about her demenaor... it told Rin that she was a mercenary. Not one with integrity like him either, no. Her only loyalty lies to coin, it was only a matter of time until the treasury ran dry and she turned on them. Rin's grip on his spear relaxed slightly as she flew off and the lord called for battle. "Have no worries Sumire, this will be over before we know it." Whether he was assuring her or himself was unknown, all that was left to do was toss aside his doubts into an ocean of blood. Her dance reminded him of his duty, it filled him with a sense of purpose as he pushed off the ground and towards the bandits at the gates. What seemed like an eternity was but an instant, soon enough he found himself on the front lines and speeding towards a bandit locked in combat with one of the other lancers of the army. The only thing that gave Rin away was the harsh exhale accompanying a grunt as he thrust his spear into the brigands back, followed shortly after by a sharp inhale as he withdrew and spun around to face the other bandit. He twirled his spear as he turned to preserve momentum, eyes narrowed as he stepped forward and the bandit battling Einar entered his range. Another harsh exhale as Rin swung his spear into the second bandit's skull, hopefully splattering it all over the floor and prematurely ending the battle with Einar. His eyes darted towards Sumire for a split second, you never take your eyes off the battlefield. But you also never take your eyes off your client when escorting them through hostile territory. What a conundrum. Truly, Rin is the most unfortunate bodyguard in all the lands.
