Samus nodded after hearing Jerus' warning.

With that, the holographic projection quickly dissipated and Samus lurched back into her seat to digest the information as she waited to arrive at their destination

Eventually, the gunship would finally pop out of hyperspace and fly towards the [url=https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/0/0d/NalHutta-HFZ.png/revision/latest?cb=20130517035000]ringed planet[/url] that laid in front of them. Samus had done some basic research on this so called "Glorious Jewel" that the Hutts referred to it, and frankly it was what she expected for a planet home for giant sentient space slugs. And what a "jewel" it was. As eluded to by Jerus himself, its atmosphere was heavily polluted in a disgusting mesh of dark browns, yellows, and greens. It was a shame to see a planet having rotted to such dramatic lengths, especially how it once was a lush and beautiful tropical planet before the Hutt clans took it over. 

It reminded Samus about another planet in her home universe: [url=https://metroid.fandom.com/wiki/Talvania]Talvania[/url] of the Bermuda System. But unlike Nal Hutta, Talvania once belonged to an advanced machine race now lost to time. They too had apparently neglected their world of its natural state and mysteriously vanished out of existence. Many initially believed that the mysterious mechanical race had been exterminated by a catastrophic event, but recent evidence had shown otherwise with the lack of any signs of a sudden disaster. It's now believed that they had left their planet in search of greener pastures, leaving their toxic world to rot away in corrosive acid and suffocate in their toxic waste. 

And here on Nal Hutta, it's no different.

The gunship proceeded to enter through the atmosphere as they passed through the thick atmosphere. Acid rain poured over the barren wasteland with lightning cackling overhead with the sound of heavy thunder as they quickly approached the seedy port of Jaguna. There the ship landed on a lone landing pad as steam hissed from underneath the ship to slow its descent. Once it was on solid ground, Samus rose from her seat as she motioned to Thaz.
