The boys look appalled, as if they’d never heard of the concept of cuss words, whereas Khalida only looks mildly annoyed when Levi’s not at her side. She bids farewell to her mother, who dismisses her with a disinterested wave of the hand. Hiding her pain, Khalida leads Levi to where a taxi waits for them. 

Sorcha nods. “Hmm. Well, it looks like they’re leaving.” She leads Jason by the arm after Khalida and Levi.
