She was listening intently for traces of deceit but didn't find any. She sighed as they began to dwindle down and end up coming to a compromise. Belle sighed in relief and loosened the grip on her knives. Finally, the "Dark Elf" addressed her, though his words were more of a puzzle to this mysterious land of nonsense. She brought hope to them? She forced herself not to snort in laughter. They didn't know anything about her; nor what she had already gone through in her young life. Did they think that she'd just be willing to bend over backwards and fight for them? Were these creatures serious? She kept her expression emotionless, though she nodded pleasantly and offered a sweet smile. Unfortunately, they were not allowed to stay, much to her dismay. The fountain waters were soothing her and she could feel the water splashing despite being down the hall. As her irritation grew, she heard the water begin splashing harder. As Belle watched them, she discovered her options were to stay or follow and hope she wasn't slaughtered as well. She gritted her teeth. Her mind was reeling, telling her not to go and to find a way home. God, she hated everything right now. She watched as water spilled out of the fountain and soaked the grass. Her eyebrows rose. Was the water some mysterious entity too? She sighed heavily and began to force herself to take slow deep breaths. Belle listened to Mister Dark Elf speak to the guards and slipped out after him with her head down. She didn't look up as she followed them through the city and kept her hands gripped on her knives so tight that she thought she might lose circulation. Her mind screamed sat her and her body was as tense as ever. They reached their destination and she hesitantly followed inside. She found the hut contained food, water and rest areas. She scowled as her stomach rumbled and her mind told her to eat. How did she know they weren't poisoned? She examined them from her spot for any signs of foul-play. She glanced at these creatures thoughtfully and kept an impassive mask on. Outwardly, she looked calm and serene: inside, though her emotions were churning like a sailboat in a thunderstorm. If they had wanted to kill her, they would have done it by now. And if they did want to kill her and these items were poisoned, she hoped it was a quick death. If not, she'd slit her throat and end it. She had no idea where she was, or if she'd would find her way home. Poor Lysandra was probably conducting the heaviest search party for her now. Belle's stomach churned at the thought as misery filled her. She began to eat her treasured peach, took some apples and water and then sat away from the creatures. She would be damned if she fell asleep now. Her eyes itched and a yawn escaped her but she ignored it.
The evening had not come soon enough. From a young age, Belle had enjoyed nightfall. It was serene and silent and it was something she craved during the daytime. She tried not to chuckle at his words. "Yeah, I'm going to start hooting and hollering and yell, "Come get your human, suckers!" She resisted the urge not to react and opted to diplomatically nod. She glanced around to gather her surroundings and discovered they were entering a graveyard. Excellent, she thought sarcastically, Home sweet home. After a short while, they came upon a weathered and torn up shelter. Belle watched quizzically as he dressed it and the door swung open. Her mind was screaming at her to flee. She gritted her teeth. So far the water and apples hadn't killed her, so perhaps there was hope, as the Dark Elf called it. He squeezed passed them to take the torch and she scowled when no-one was looking. She sighed, relaxed her hands and her mind and followed them down the corridor until coming upon a large room. The scene before her surprised her. It was a rebel compound. Belle glanced around at the various furniture and then back at the Dark Elf. This seemed to be coming together now and she felt waves of exhaustion rising over her. She vaguely nodded to the Dark Elf, only half his words registering now as she awaited a tent, food and water. Her mind was numbing itself to her surroundings. She would kill for a cigarette right now. Belle sighed and sat down again with her head on top of her folded hands.
