[@VitaVitaAR] The point of the armor is to stop magic from being used against him. All other forms of combat will work. It increases the characters survivability, yes, but it’s not impenetrable or indestructible. In the backstory it appears that way because he was facing against opponents who weren’t equipped with like-powered magical equipment. The main inspiration was to have a character that magic would not work against. The buffs provided are temporary, and dissipate when the fighting is done if there was any fighting. Otherwise, he’s just not affected by magic. The initial boost the armor provides is there to put him a step above your standard knight in armor. I see it story-wise as at first potential opponents see how strong he can be when magic is used against him and as the story unfolds, start to either come up with other strategies without magic or use more martial challengers. If you have any suggestions to make the character more acceptable, I'll see what I can do. I mainly want a character that punishes opponents that think only using magic as their “be all, end all” strategy. At the same time, I don’t want him to suffer from the common “I’ll overload him” trope. Theoretically, he is only as strong as the magic used against him. If there is a way we can compromise, I would be appreciative.
