They had done it, and that part still amazed the man, but honestly he just felt like... off. After going through everything in the old world, then suddenly being snapped back to a seemingly normal world, it struck him as odd. Of course, there was also the fact that he had helped save the world and yet he was stuck here. Doing this shit. Roman wanted to get this over with more than anything, not that he was nervous or angry they made him do it. He was more annoyed, and certainly not fond of how having his abilities limited really made him feel. Looking at the Black Widow across from him, he wondered exactly what she was trying to play at here. He knew damn well that the woman across from him didn't need the polygraph to tell he was lying. She could easily read him like a book, she was trained in this shit. Not to mention that compared to some peers at SHIELD, Roman was an absolutely horrid liar. After a long sigh, he looked at her. "Look, I don't want to waste your time here with my emotional background. We both know you can read me better than any polygraph, and frankly the way the inhibitors make me feel while they're suppressing my abilities is... not fun. I'm not Hydra. Never have been, never will be." He said firmly. "My parents died trying to protect me during the Battle. The Avengers couldn't be everywhere, they tried to distract the Chitauri to let us all escape. Aliens got them. They cornered us and were going to use a grenade, before Captain America saved us all. So I joined SHIELD. Protect everybody else, Avengers can't be everywhere like I said." He finished, hoping that was enough for the Black Widow.
