With all due respect, I did look at the other characters when I was considering powers. I even touched on it a little previously. When I designed Darris, he was of a preexisting skill set which I was informed would not work. Simple enough I understand why he didn't fit. When I designed Doric, the only Isekai characters were a serpent possessed woman who can literally increase her size as a serpent to that of a small city if not larger, and a man who given the resources could design a weapon capable of destroying the planet. Doric isn't capable of mass destruction, just don't use magic directly against him. When I designed Ven, the other isekai characters were a strategist commander with a sword that gives him armor made of ice and a woman who without her cursed sword could come toe to toe with anyone mastered, skilled or otherwise in swordsmanship. Ven is a cybernetic arcane archer specialized in the bow rather than the sword. I'm not trying to say that those characters are in any way flawed or that those mentioned are their only skill sets, but I feel there is a discrepancy between them and mine. If, for example, I also created a character that could become the size of a mountain, would that have been allowed? You said so yourself that the powers involved can be of a higher level. I've been asking for some feedback and I haven't gotten any. I don't mean to come off as argumentative, and I apologize if I made you feel that way. I'd also like to apologize to the participants of the RP for my drastic simplification of their characters. I really do like the premise of the RP, and I really would like to participate. I know I said I gave up, but this is my last attempt. If it's declined as well, then at that point I would truly be done.
Name: Judge Justice Eden (casually referred to as Eden) Age: 43 Gender: Male Race: Human Appearance: Eden is strikingly tall, towering over many of the citizens of the land measuring 7’1”. Despite this, he is not very strong, or muscular, maintaining a normal if otherwise slightly unfit body shape. His hair is black, but gray hue has started to shade the sides of his head. His hair is kept short and tidy. His eyes are a dark forest green. He has no tattoos or piercings. He is dressed in a white garment, black trousers, and a black cloak that can wrap around his person like a robe. The cloak stops mid-calf so that it does not drag on the floor. At the edge of the cloak and collar is a gold trim that glimmers in the sun. He has a white stole that has a black trim with gold inlay of various patterns. Around his neck there is an ornate hilt of a sword held on by a silver chain. The hilt is gold, the handle of fine leather, and at the center is a glimmering jewel like worth plenty. Slung over his shoulder is a crossbow, a dark wood in color, not very large, and has inlays of ivory and gold. Personality: Eden is a tad arrogant, thinking him almost infallible. As part of his training he is also pretty quick to pass judgment on anything that he deems immoral or unlawful, more so the latter. He is intolerant of illegal behavior. Despite his arrogance, he cares deeply for the well being of all persons he meets, doing anything in his power to give aid and bring about peace and prosperity. However, if his trust was to be abused or broken, he will not hesitate to cast the offender out bringing all his power down upon them as he deems fit for the crime. He completely melts in the presence of children, keeping a small stash of sweets on his person. However, this does not influence how he passes judgment on families that possess them. As a final note, he is not above following orders when necessary. Abilities: Eden possesses an artifact whose original name is unknown, but is referred to by him and his brethren as Alathia’s Blade of Acuity. It is the sword hilt that Eden wears around his neck. This artifact acts as a conduit for which Eden is able to use his branch of magic referred to as Malediction of Law. Basically, he can create enchantments that can embody an area as large as a town, to as small as a pin. These enchantments work like rules, for example, only a female can wield this mace. What this ability means in combat is he can buff allies and debuff enemies. Examples include increases or decreasing speed, accuracy, strength, endurance, or inherit special abilities. Without the artifact, he cannot cast these enchantments, but at the same time, the artifact restricts how he uses it. He cannot tip the scales too much in one person’s favor. He cannot make one side overpowering and the other utterly weak. If he were to attempt to do this, the hilt would absorb all the magic used and the entire magic Eden wields striping him of using magic at all for the rest of his life. There is no warning sign that this will happen, so Eden has to use his best judgment for what buff or debuff he can apply. It’s safest to use the power to make an ally struggling against their opponent more capable of dealing with them fairly. He can also enchant at a trade off, but generally he needs consent to do that in the interest of equity. In his land of origin, this power basically meant that any judgment he passed could be enforced instantly. Doing so would tie the enchantment to the guilty party using their energy to keep it working. It would take the same or another judge to remove it. I want to make it clear here that unless he is a presiding entity capable of enforcing his judgment with all parties consent prior, he cannot enchant anything without risk of losing all his power. Likewise, any enchantments he delivers during a competition will immediately disappear once the competition is over since their use is no longer necessary. This is also a magical effect, anything that could stop or break magic spells can repel Eden’s enchantments. All enchantments are tied to Eden. If he were to fall unconscious, all enchantments would break. Outside of that, he has a phase relocation spell. It’s not quite a teleport. It only works up to 10 meters, and only to places he was physically present before he used it. Skills: He can read a great deal of text quickly, and has a large vocabulary. He knows several languages, most of which will be useless. He can read runes. Very knowledgeable and expectant of common law, things you’d expect to be true between lands and even universes. He knows how to use a crossbow; usually using one if he ends up participating in combat. His crossbow is special. The bolt is magic, and a new one forms whenever it’s primed. Outside of that, the crossbow is no more powerful than your standard design. Backstory: The lands in which Eden resided were ruled by strict law. In these lands, law is treated almost like a religion, the judicial system governing all the lands. Law Masters craft law based on divine inspiration of their deity, lord of truth, goddess of equity, binder of discourse, their masterful Alathia. In order to become one of these masters, potential candidates need to start training and educating by a very early age. No one Law Master got to that position that has not started towards it by age eight. Eden strives to one day be worthy enough and well versed in the laws passed to one day become a master himself. For now though he works as what is called an Executor Judiciary. As an Executor Judiciary, Eden works as a traveling judge wherever there is need of one. He is essentially a wandering supreme court. But unlike a supreme court, he works on any case no matter how small or of what class. He has punished criminal, settled civil disputes, overturned contracts, and settled debts. Usually he doesn’t have to practice Malediction of Law except during special cases where one or more parties require it. Judges of all statuses are rarely challenged since only they can use magic or possess magical items. This is what makes it easy for judges to pass and enforce their will. It has happened where a judge has abused their power, but in those instances, they were stripped of all prestige and power left with nothing but their thoughts. Executor Judiciary is judge and executioner when it comes to their judgments, a wandering police force. Their presence and others like them keep unlawfulness at bay. When opportunity came for Eden to spread his influence to worlds unknown, especially to a land who seemed to have suffered a great injustice, then he jumped at the chance. Already knowing that he would not be of the status he was as his home, he could not stand by as those people bordered extinction. He opted to become like a Law Master within the new world, so that it too be of fair equilibrium. Origin: Isekai, Ruled lands of Alathia
