Hello there, I'm Rivaan, can call me Riv if you'd wish. I've been around the guild for a while and I'm in need of a new RP! I have a base idea for one that hopefully can get some people interested. Before we can get into the details, here's some rules I'd like to toss out here. -Must be 18+, I'm an adult and prefer to RP with adults. Expect gore, hard language, cursing and all that. -Smut will NOT be the focus of this RP and I will even run it with fade to black if I have to, so we can keep the pace going. -If I see something I do not like I will call you on it. Things like furries and other kinks for example. -I expect at least 2 paragraphs for a post. Could be more could be sometimes less, but most of the time 2 is the minimum. No one liners here. -I would prefer it to NOT be a one post per week kind of RP. At least every other day if it's possible. Sometimes I'm busy, sometimes you will be busy, it happens, but 2-3 post a week should be the norm. Sometimes with many posting back to back during lucky days of course. -If you do not like something within the RP, talk to me, we shall see if we can figure something out. -If you need to leave the RP or lose interest, just say it. I will not hold it against you. Let's separate on friendly terms, don't just drop off the face of the Earth. -I will try to keep on time for posting, but if I haven't replied within 2-3 days after your post feel free to poke me. I will be doing the same. Sometimes RP get burried within other things to do, it's understandable. -Do not post in this Interest Check, PM me. -Do not ask me if I'm interested in other RPs ideas here. This IC is about this setting and premise. If you ask I will politely reply to you and then break the PMs. -I'm searching for one or maybe 2 people to do this RP with, so if you come late and I already have people, I will tell you and change the name of the IC to -name-[closed]. Please be understanding, I'm just one person. -I mostly play Female characters, but do can play Male as well. Still I prefer to play Female characters better. I can do FxF or FxM. -Also no RPing from first person, I find it slightly weird and would prefer for my partner to not use it either. Alright, I think these are the rules I could think up off the top of my head. Should be enough(hopefully)! For characters here we could go in many different directions. I have already a few characters in mind for this, but I will discuss these with people who express their interest. Hopefully I will see(in text of course) some of you! Now onto the good stuff! ^_^

Fate of the Gods - Ragnarök

Premise
The Horn Gjallarhorn had been sounded. Ragnarök had arrived. The world was set asunder and ablaze as the end times of war had arrived upon the nine world. Aesir, Vanir and Einherjar all walked into battle with the forces of destruction. A war unlike any before it, a war that painted the very earth red with blood, the war fated to be the death of this world, but... it was stopped. Despite all, even fate itself, the end of the world was averted. Odin the all father had managed to avoid the worst ending. Fenrir and Jormungand remained sealed within their confines and the sun and moon remained in the sky. Still Asgard had paid a heavy price. Many of it's Legions were decimated, countless Einherjar had been rendered to their final deaths and many gods had followed them, but the deaths spoken by the prophecies were avoided... for now. It's been over 700 years since then and the war had entered into a stalemate. Forces of Destruction and the Gods fighting over lands over and over again with no one gaining complete dominance over hte other. The major conflicts had long since melted into smaller skirmishes across the different worlds. All except Midgard, the world of men and teh world best protected by the will of the all-father itself. It's been spared 700 years of constant war between forces well transcending their scope. Still how long can such a state be maintained? As the centuries passed, Odin grew ever more detached from the public eye, appearing less and less. Among the heavy price paid in the first Ragnarök, he lost many even his wife and now the future do not reveal good tidings to the wisest of all gods. The head of Mimir, his trusty advisor forever counts the odds to win or lose the true war that has yet to happen. The Ragnarök that was halted will start anew soon and no one can stop it. Even so, Odin will not give in to anyone, even be it fate itself! He's a god of war, god of wisdom and magic. He's the all-father and he will fight till the last breath. And again he speaks up to the Head of Mimir, discussing the plans for the future, there's a war to wage. The 700 years of relative stalemate are about to end and the worst fighting ever seen will resume and this time, there's no way to stop it. Alright, if you all have read until now, then I assume some interest was sparked here. This is going to be a fantasy RP set up in a world based around Norse mythology( if I didn't make it clear by now xD). There are going to be some differences here and there, but those aren't going to be too important. In fact this RP and the wya it's set up is heavily inspired/based on a novel called Valhalla Saga. Anyways, the we will be Einherjar, the chosen upon death humans that enter Valhalla to prepare and fight in Ragnarök. We can be new warriors or a new warrior and a veteran one. Maybe a warrior and a valkyrie? Options are out there! Anyways just to clarify matters the Midgard in this rp will not be OUR world. It will be a world set in Medieval times. In it you will have free reign to think up names of cities and point of origin where you were born or died. So that's that. Now onto the more technical stuff.( This can be somewhat to discussion)

Magic
Magic in this RP falls under 3 different types sort of. It is divided in the ways it manifests and works in the grand scheme of things.

First are the Natural abilities of the gods and Jotuns. Those abilities are varied and often different between teh different gods. Part of these are their domains over the world. Such as Thor's domain over lightning as the God of Thunders and lightning. Other examples of this include Idunn's golden apples that keep the gods youthful. These apples are part of her and whereeer she is, they are with there always. Within those also fall the blessings that a god can put onto his warriors. These blessings are limited to the different gods.
Second among the types of magical abilities is what humans would refer to magic. Here come a variety of magical crafts such as runic magic, elemental magic and others. Examples include shamans, druids and others. Few know how to use magic prior to arriving in Valhalla and among those who do, most are followers of Odin and Freya, who are gods of magic among other things.
The third type of magic to be encountered is the magic of the Legends and Stories. The Sagas each warrior build through their life. The more famous and believed in it is, the stronger it is. Once the warrior entered Valhalla and began his journey to fight side by side with the gods, those legends and stories take upon a new life as they start to manifest into abilities. These abilities are always tied in some way to a story that the warrior lived through and a feat they did. A warrior who survived might have earned hte nickname of the Undying which will manifest in the ability for him to survive one mortal strike with a cooldown time. Another might have been said to be as fast as lightning, only to manifest incredible speeds or actually turn into lightning to travers great distances. This is the nature of Sagas. A highly specific anecdotes and stories that took upon a new life as abilities and skills.

Legions of the Gods
Many are the gods of Asgard. Some more worshipped, some less. Each have their own duties and responsibilities. Be it Odyn, Thor or Freya. Among those Gods there are those who also possess their own Legions of warriors, chosen upon their deaths. These Legions are the ones who fight side by side with the gods against those who wish for destruction, be it Jotuns, Trolls or anything and anyone else. The warriors of each Legion can recieve the blessing of their gods to give htem additional aid, though this blessing can be extended to memebrs of other legions if a Valkyrie is present. Valkyries are present withing each Legion, these warrior women who wander the fields of combat to gather the most worthy of warriors also serve management duties within the Legions. They are responsible for relaying orders, managing supplies, train warriors to get used to their new bodies and abilities and the like. A saying goes that it's not a feast unless a Valkyrie is present! They shouldn't be underestimated though, Valkyries can be fierce fighters in their own right if hte need arises. They carry a feathered cloak of a swan that allows them to transform and fly. Now not all Gods have their very own Legion. In fact there are quite a few gods without Legions of their very own. Followers of those gods usually enter other Legions or in some cases do not enter a Legion at all, remaining independent instead. The collection of the warriors who are not part of hte main Legions was named Legion of Midgard, it has it's own Valkryies to run logistics, but lacks a patron god. There's no difference in the treatment between warriors of hte different Legions and those who are not part of a Legion. All warriors are only ranked through their skills and strenght. Those that advance in the ranks recieve better treatment, but also greater responsibilities. All gods can provide blessings.

Legion of Odin
Legion of Freya
Legion of Tyr
Legion of Thor
Legion of N'jor
Legion of Skadi
Legion of Heimdall
Legion of Midgard

The Einherjar
These are the warriors chosen upon their death to enter Valhalla. Valkyries fly across battlefields, choosing the best warriors of all to herald into the mead hall of the gods. Upon their arrival in Valhalla, the warriors are then placed within their respective Legion or if they aren't going to be part of a Legion because their god doesn't have one, they are going to be directed to the residence of their god where they can stay. They can of course choose to enter a Legion if they wish so. Should a god without Legion recieve sufficient number of warriors, a new Legion is established. Warriors from Midgard arrive to Valhalla after their deaths. As such they only bring what they carried with them at the moment of their deaths. Usually an armor of some kind and a weapon. Valhalla provides weapons to those who lost theirs at the moment of their deaths or those whos weapon was destroyed or impossible to use. Still mortal armor and weapon are not as good as the ones that can be found outside of Midgard, so most warriors change their gear. An Einherjar can use Runic magic to strengthen themselves. This takes a long time as they defeat enemies, learn their limits and their body grows along with their powers as slowly they can inscribe runes within it. Warriors are divided into a few ranks depending on their overall strenght: Novice, Intermediete, Adept, Grand and Superior. Example of Superior warriors include the Hero Siegfried/Sigurd, Ragnar Lothbrok and a small number of others. Warriors arrive from Midgard usually with one or two Sagas at most that turn into abilities. More Sagas can be created with the passage of time if they manage to perform great deeds that impress the rest of the Einherjar. It is important to mention Sagas are easier to create in Midgard where mortal limits are way lower. Superior Ranked warriors always possess Superiors Sagas that can often turn the tide of battles. Within Valhalla the greatest number of warriors are intermediete warriors. Grand warriors are under 100 and Superior warriors can be counted on the fingers of one hand. With some having perished in the last war. Currently the only Superior warriors left in Asgard are: Ragnar Lothbrok and Roskva, Shieldmaiden of Thor.

The Destroyers
The destroyers are the forces that are fated to lead to the world's destruction. Frost and Fire giants, Trolls, ogres and all other manner of monsters. Since the first war of Ragnarök they've fought without end against the forces of Asgard. Among those the strongest are the Frost and Fire Giants. Luckily the Surtr and the strongests of his fire giants are currently locked within Muspelheim, unable to venture out. Still the Frost Giants are more than enough of a danger. Even the weakest of the Giants is more than sufficient to destroy whole bands of Adept warriors. Usually it would take grand warriors or above to fight Giants with some giants so strong that they can only be fought by the Aesir or Vanir. Still that doesn't stops the brave hearts of the warriors who would throw themselves at the enemies with a smile on their face and a warcry at heart.
Okey this is the basic setting idea for the RP. Been planning to attempt this one for a while now. IN any case if you read this, I wish you the best and ... FOR ASGARD AND THE NINE WORLDS! Edit: Could be ran as an isekai story as well. After all if you think about it, norse myths are the original Isekai. You die, be brought to fantasy world by pretty woman, have party, kill monsters, profit.
