Belle learned more about it and the truth of why she had been plucked from Earth; to sum up her emotions with one word was impossible. She couldn't help but feel indignation and bitter. How dare they pluck her from her world and expect her to fight for them without asking her? Did these Elves think that everyone would agree to join their random war and possibly die for it? Whenever she thought of it, Belle would begin to shake with anger and disgust. Furthermore, she found it troubling and maddening how she was not allowed to leave the building as well. She felt as if she were trapped underwater, unable to breathe. She hated being cooped up and also being underground. She thought of how she almost ended it in the forest and wondered if it had been a mistake not to follow through. She had stayed with Ilan whom was the only person/creature she wasn't quite pissed at throughout the week. His sweet and pure nature had been softening up some of her anger and darkness. She found it difficult to stay mad or irritated with him. He was young and innocent and was uncomfortable being in the position anyway. On the other hand, the Dark Elf, known as "Baraian", had fallen onto her bad side. The way he had stabbed the poor man, known as Hans, had irritated her; that kind of senseless killing wasn't a way to win tokens to her good side. Belle knew the man deserved it; however it had still unsettled her. Furthermore, it had also triggered an emotional and traumatic flashback for her as well. Belle found herself glowering inside when he spoke to her. The violent vulpine had also set her on edge with his sharp-edged fan. Belle, despite finding it cool, was unable to rationalize trusting them. It reminded of her the violence she had tried so hard to escape. Over the week, Ilan had assisted her in discovering her so called magic. He had explained it was wither fire, earth, water or air, and how humans had no control over what was given to them. She had prayed to God she had anything but water. He had placed a match, feather and rock in front of her and asked her to focus on it. Along with Baraian, he had told that she should feel a surge of energy and how the object would react mysteriously. After trying for several hours with no success with the match, feather and rock, Belle had been about to give up when a puddle of water formed at her feet. She stared at it and looked over to find another one forming nearby. On top of that, a rain cloud had formed over a few of the residents and began to drip. Belle's expression had been filled with anger and disgust; so much, that she thrown her hands in the air and gone to her tent to escape. When she had thrown her hands in the air, the puddles and rain cloud disappeared. Water - the one thing she feared being in and ever facing. She buried her head in her hands after zipping the tent shut and silently screamed into them.
Belladonna stood in the shadows of the rebel hideout, arms folded. Her gaze was fixated on Baraian. Belle's rage was boiling inside, though she remained outwardly calm. The speech was enough to make anyone gag. She listened carefully to his words although it didn't make anything inside of her stir. When nobody was looking, she managed a faint chortle and smirk. Take control of Avalia; how the hell they expected that to happen, she wasn't certain. She slowly slid her hand down the bow hanging over her shoulder. She had a quiver of arrows in the pouch around her waist she wished she could use to poke her eyes out. They had been allowing her to also train in archery, and had been impressed with her knowledge on knives and daggers. Her archery, though, needed some help. A kind Elven woman named Rosemary, had been assisting her. She had been using targets at the back of the room out of everyone's way. Belle found it helped relieve her stress and anxiety too, so she practiced often. As Baraian continued his speech now to include her, Belladonna quickly smiled pleasantly. Right now, they were cheering for her. What would happen though if hey miraculously won this war? Would she be back-stabbed yet again and thrown into the streets to die? Belle was afraid to find out the answer. If she disagreed, then what would happen? There were too many variables. She felt trapped. Her mind was reeling. At this time though, they were practically worshiping her so she was going to play along. Belladonna moved forward with confidence and grace with a smile painted on her face from ear-to-ear. She stopped to stand beside Baraian to present herself. She would play this to the beat. Right now, they provided her with food, water and shelter. She was starting to enjoy their fashion too. At this time, she knew she had to play along. That was something she could do easily. "You all may rise. Please don't kneel too long and wear yourselves out. We need to be ready to fight at any moment, yes?" She paused and glanced over everyone. The elves and demihumans were staring at her with admiration. Belle wasn't sure how to react, though she felt pride rise inside of her. Nobody had looked at her that way for the right reasons in a long time. "I can't thank you all enough for your generosity and help with my adjustment into your new, lovely world. I appreciate each and every one of you and have faith that we may accomplish our task of overthrowing Aklenroth." She glanced at the paintings with a sorrowful expression. With the help of her hydromancy, she forced her eyes to tear up and wiped the tears away quickly with her gloved hands. "We will make them proud and not let their sacrifices be in vain. Together we will free Avalia of this dictatorship and cruelty. Together, we will bring honor to your ancestors and live together in peace and harmony." Belle curtsied in front of them and then moved out of the picture to the back of the room. She needed some air; but not yet. She was going to eat first and wait for the crowd to settle down. She picked up some apples and a glass of water as she watched the others. Belle remained outwardly calm and smiled sweetly at anyone who turned to glance at her.
