I'm interested in joining and was wondering if this area wasn't taken. The Kingdom of Ascia was one of the first that tried to combat the rising pirate threat. Unfortunately, the regional power was severely crippled when a pirate attack on one of the Frontier worlds resulted in Duke Diederick's death. Similar to the corporations within Apavock Republic, the corporations supported the monarchy by forming the Purple Guard. That was when a shift was taking place between the wealthy and the lower classes. Those corporations began to influence the Royal Family and their ruling party to ease up the restraints. As they took on more government responsibilities, the wealthy saw tax cuts and fewer limitations to do whatever they wished. Meanwhile, the working and lower classes were left to cover the costs with increased taxes on nearly everything. Then, they realized that their elected process was under complete control of corporations and the wealthiest families in Ascia. That was when the protests began. With six demands on hand, the protesters marched all over the capital to demand change. As the Royal Family tried their hardest to avoid the demands, some of the protesters realized that violence was their only option left. That was when Shining Path formed. And their first official action was going to change everything.

Leadership

Shining Path is a socialist revolutionary organisation that takes inspirations from the Old World's revolutionary movements. At the moment, their goal is to get the attention of the corporations and the Royal Family with six demands. The first, and most important, demand calls for the restoration of laws and bills scrapped by the corporations. The second demand calls for corporate tax laws to be enacted. The third calls for the resignation and arrest of CEOs (and wealthy individuals) that played a part in the transfer of powers. The fourth requests an independent committee investigate alleged brutality against protesters (and bystanders) from the police and military forces. The fifth orders amnesty for arrested protesters. The sixth and final demand calls for the abolishment of the monarchy. The protesters are willing to protest for a long time if it means their demands are met. Of course, the Shining Path knows that both the monarchy and corporations will never give up their power. So they are prepared for a fight.

Military/Civilian Assets

Airwave - A drone company in the heart of the capital responsible for producing drones of different variety. There are rumors of an underground factory used to produce military-grade drones for the Royal Family. The Shining Path plans on storming the building to find out if they are true or not. Amalia's Armory - A former military officer that was forced to retire earlier due to his views on the protests. She uses her connections to the illegal Black Market to gather weapons and equipment for the Shining Path and stores in basements of supporters. Her few friends also help out whenever they could. Elliot Square - Named after the first King of Ascia, the square has recently become one of the few places that protesters occupy. The Airwave Center is in front of the park and would give anyone occupying it a bird’s-eye view of the area. Pandora's Lantern - The Shining Path's underground media platform run by several anonymous protesters.
