Glad to have avoided drawing the gob's attention, Nira relized that she would likely be better off if she had a ranged skill for attacking. Though she hated to admit it, pixies weren't exactly built for physical combat, and what they gained in exchange for the ability to fly was a loss in durability and size. She was practically the foundation for the squishy wizard and fragile speedster archetypes that she had found useful in the rpg's she had played, and those weren't exactly the easiest companions to keep alive. So what was she going to do? Thinking on it as she made her way back, she knew she would have to specialize to some degree for now if she wanted to live. At her size weapons weren't an option, so she would have to go for spells and magic. Luckily enough she had learned about meditation from Femus earlier, so that would probably be a good place to start. Having arrived back at the tree, Nira zipped into the branches before joining Femus at his perch. Waving as she approached, she settled herself down opposite of him hoping that she hadn't come up from a blind angle, not knowing if wisps even had blind spots. "It's getting a bit late to move so we should probably stay here for the night, preferably on a branch or two with denser leaf coverage. For now though I'm going to try something with meditation while we still have time." Turning and shifting into a comfortable pose, Nira sought out the warm feeling of mana in her body and picked up where she left off. Being gentle as she tried to force more mana into the natural flow of her body, Nira again attempted to create and hold an evenly distributed increase in her mana flow. Once she felt this attempt stablize she tried to pull a handful of her mana out into an orb while restoring the deficit with meditation. Regardless of how successful the attempt to restock before use was, she focused on the orb of mana she had created and thought back to the memory of Femus's ranged attack on the dire rat just a couple of hours ago. It had flown through the air and sizzled on contact, dealing decent damage. She focused her intent of damage and ranged use into the orb of mana in the hopes that these visualizations would help her shape it, though she didn't expect much to happen. Should it succeed or not, she opened her eyes and let go of the orb with the intent of letting it dissapate before getting up and looking for a place to sleep. It would be a good idea to stay in the tree so they could help each other, but sleeping so close to a creature that glowed was like asking for trouble. After finding a particularly bushy branch, Nira settled herself down and let the tiredness of a busy day take her off to sleep. She would probably need to find water and food tomorrow.
