The parade of the Sworn Brothers trinity of legions might have been controversial due to the company of its leading primarch, but Ruubai and his wife would be a footnote of gossip at the parties of the nobles of Terra compared to the parade of the Night Watch legion that came shortly afterwards. Primarch Micholi had seen a chance to not only honor members of his own legion, but also a chance to make both history and a statement that the elites of humanity would not be able to ignore. 

Even has he had made haste to Terra, he had reached out to the divisions of his legion in order to invite those members of each division that were not embroiled in active combat a chance to come with him to Terra to receive the honor of the Imperium they fought for... as well as the most decorated of the imperial army regiments that served alongside them. 

The parade started off as one would have expected at first; The representatives of the First division lead the way, followed by the Imperial Knight [i]Light's Shield[/i] and the best of the skitarii 97th Ratchet regiment. The representatives of the Second Division followed and they were joined by heroes of the 17th Stormheim regiment, made up of giants of humans in size and fitness that would have made them prime candidates for space marine conversion (Stormheim was a recruiting world for the Night Watch after all, but not everyone could be a space marine). 

It was around the Third Division when the cheering stopped, replaced with stunned silence as the space marines were being followed by the 2nd Savage regiment: The imagine of a regiment of abhuman beastmen dressed in the fatigues of the Imperial Army matching proudly behind a company of Space Marines was not one anyone was expecting. The Fourth Division didn't improve matters, for behind that grouping of space marines marched the 15th Palaven regiment. For almost all the humans on Terra, the Turian's metallic carapace was the first time they had ever actually laid eyes on a xeno before... and this one was wearing Imperial Army colors and marching in a parade honoring the heroes of the Imperium. 

Finally came the Fifth Division, followed by Primarch Micholi leading the 1st Reserve regiment: Unlike the other regiments, which were dedicated to a single race or species, the 1st Reserve was a mixture of humans, adhumans and xenos races (well, two xeno races. The turians had been seen before, but the Twi'leks were new and in the case of the female solders caused some strange thoughts to arise in a few of the crowd). Some cheered, but for the most part the crowd was confused into silence. 

Thankfully, when he finally reached the Imperiual Palace Micholi would give the Custodes a much easier time letting him in since he would do so alone, dismissing his troops before doing so... through the space marine elements were clearly planning to hang around with the... less the human elements of their forces if only to discourage any... incidents from happening.
