She would never say it aloud, but she hoped the teacher would keep whatever she had to say short so she could check on her friend. It only just dawned on her upon seeing Momo gasping for air that she had maybe taken the sparring session a bit too seriously. She had been in the same mindset that she approached her sparring with her grandpas with, but Momo wasn't as experienced or as powerful as them. She'd probably overdone it. The giggle ellicited from Momo as she sprang up off the ground should have assuaged her concerns. She hadn't let her mood be brought down by either her own efforts during the spar nor being called out by Ms. Martenell, which was consistent for Momo...even so, Gabby couldn't shake the feeling that Momo might simply be hiding her ill feelings toward her. Before Gabby could ask how she was faring, Momo bounced away, bright blue hair trailing behind her like a flowing curtain as she rejoined the two students she'd entered the gym with. Gabriella panicked a little in that moment. She felt she and Momo had made a strong, friendly connection, one that she hadn't yet made with even any of her own classmates. She didn't want to lose that because she failed to exert proper self control during what should have been a simple spar. Scrambling to her feet, Gabriella's body started running after Momo, slowing to a walk as she became conscious of her potential to cause a scene or scare Momo if she let her huge body barrel toward her. "Um..." Her mouth was dry, she couldn't find the words she wanted. Her eyes screwed shut as she told herself to act natural. Opening her eyes and focusing on Momo, she forced her stiff arms to her sides. "Per...haps I could...partake in dance practices as well? Would like to give you my phone number...to schedule meet-ups." Remembe manners, Gabriella. "Please and thank you?" Okay, "natural" was probably a strong word for how she just sounded, but it was the best she could do. She didn't really have experience with this sort of thing.
