It was okay, nothing fantastic. It's easier to swallow if you pretend it isn't meant to be some spiritual prequel to the Alien series. I think a big part of it's suckage is it doesn't really keep with the technology and feel of the Alien movies. Hard to believe something's like hundreds of years (or whatever it is) before Alien when the technology is way the hell more advanced than anything you see in the Alien trilogy (plus, Resurrection, I guess). It's part of the reason I'm actually pretty excited for that Alien: Isolation game. One of the design philosophies they have for that game is that everything in the environment needs to be faithful to the first movie and should look like it could have been a prop made back in the 1970s for the first movie, so the 70s vision of the future.
