It could only hold fourteen fighters and a small drop ship for troop deployment. On the bridge of the Corvette, an officer addressed Daka. "Sir, our sensors show the base has activated ray shields. Drop them now, or I will expand my field of fire, and lay waste to more of the planet." The ultimatum had physically shaken the Rebel commander. His brow furrowed as he tried to think of a way out. He was staring right into the eyes of the rebel commander. "Open fire on the Rebel Base, but ensure each shot finds its mark. I promised a precision strike without excess civilian casualties." The crew of the Executor opened fire as they were ordered. Heavy blasts from the three turbolaser batteries began to rain down onto the rebel base. "You bastard!" The rebel commander yelled from the viewscreen. "We had a ..." The transmission was cut off. Not because the Rebel base was destroyed, but because Daka had signalled the end of the negotiations.
