AJ grew up in Coalfell. She was primarily raised by her mother, as her father was often with the Red Wolves. In AJ's early years, her mother became the head housekeeper for Motel Cadillac, and consequently, even though she would as much time as possible with her older sister. She still missed her because Luci lived , she formed a musical group that would later become known as Pretty Poisons. AJ, along with the other two members Valerie and Melody, spent their time practicing in the stockroom at Motel Cadillac where her mother worked. and would put on small performances at Momma May's where she worked with her sister.
