"I can work with that." Zir Go said. DD-3 came barrelling into the cockpit. A few agitated beeps that sounded like they had some urgency behind it. "They what?" Zir's eyes widened as he turned to the droid. "A turbolaser barrage onto the planet's surface?" The surprise was evident in his voice. Turning back to the dashboard he checked his sensors and confirmed it. The rebel base was being pummelled by an orbital strike.
Daka smirked. "I want four bombers circling the rebel base, with two interceptors backing up to prevent fighters from taking them down." The command was clear. It was at that moment the Ray Shields came back online. "Sir." One of the officers started. A tired "Yes, I know. The Ray Shields." The Sith replied. "They are scrambling fighters. Preparing for a counter-attack." Daka said with certainty. Partly because he could sense it, and partly because it what he would have done. "Ready the remaining fighters, and light turbo lasers to defend the Executor. I want the Heavy cannons ready to fire as soon as they drop the shields to deploy the fighters. We will only have a moment before the shields come back online."
"Blaine, take the copilot seat. I want constant updates on what that ship is doing." He said as the ship started to take off. "It shouldn't be much, but I don't want any surprises." The Kel Dor explained. As the ship began to leave the atmosphere.
Daka was focused on the rebel base, he almost missed the small ship leaving the planet, until one of his officers spoke up. "Sir, a type 31 Firespray is leaving the planet. It matches the signature of that ship that had reportedly been causing trouble. It looks like the same ship that crippled the Nightingale." Daka was about to dismiss it until he felt something. He turned to face the ship, despite there being no windows or view screens that faced in that direction. "A Jedi," he said quietly under his breath. "Mark them, then let them go. Our target is the rebel base." He said turning back to the planet. "Send a message to Vendel alerting him of that ship. Tell him there's a Jedi onboard." He said with a smirk. He knew how much Vendel enjoyed killing Jedi. Maybe a little too much, but at least given such a task, Daka knew it would be carried out.
