Eric shook his head.

He wanted to say 'upon falling in love' but he hesitated. 
"Well, they have gone in the opposite direction. My father was a stunt driver who was close to loosing his life until he met my mother. After that, he gave it up, got a job at the clock repair shop, and lived a happy family life. my grandfather? same thing, only he was a circus performer and he quit and got a job at a toy store.
