[indent]Suspiria's a quiet, but considerate and thoughtful friend. She dislikes loud crowds and overly boisterous company, but otherwise, she is not picky when it comes to who her friends are. She's more talkative around close friends but tends to stay pretty quiet around strangers until she gets to know them better. She tries her best to be friendly and polite to others but tends to always keep others at a distance when it comes to personal details or disclosing secrets. Likewise, she understands hardship and doesn’t push for others to tell her anything they wouldn’t want to do.[/indent]

[indent]She has an easygoing nature and dislikes making others upset. She can be moody and perfectionistic, and judge herself harshly when she fails at something. She wants to make a good impression when she meets others and can try to hard to meet others expectations about who she should be. Despite her emotional appearance, she has quite an analytical mind and is very inquisitive about new information, especially if it pertains to one of her hobbies. She enjoys cheesy sci-fi films and nurturing her garden of cacti, as well as astronomy and deep, philosophical topics. She enjoys talking to others, even if she can be a bit awkward at first.[/indent]

[indent]Suspiria's very self-conscious and because of her analytical nature, has a tendency to be harsh on herself when she falls short of her expectations. She has a very dreamy, more introspective side to her as well, and one could say she is an idealist when it comes to her outlook on life and her opinions regarding human nature. Suspiria’s still trying to discover who she is and her own identity. She doesn’t like being left out; even if she’s quiet, she’s still present, listening and observing the reactions of others before she speaks.[/indent]
[indent]Suspiria has a natural pull to be individualistic and do things himself which can sometimes conflict with the interests of others. She’s generally not a forgetful person, but she is very curious and has the tendency to wander off or get lost in her thoughts.[/indent]

[indent]Suspiria had an unstable childhood, to say the least. Her life featured many revolving households as she grew up in the foster care system. Her mother had her in high school and financially and emotionally, couldn't care for her. Originally it was supposed to be a temporary fix until her parents could demonstrate that they could handle rearing a child, but they never contacted the state or Suspiria's current foster parents to get her back. And thus she drifted in the foster care system for years on end, never understanding why her parents gave her up or if she’d ever get to see them again.[/indent]
[indent]It might have been the fear of retaliation from the child she gave away or the idea that she was more comfortable living with another family, that fueled the negligence on her mother’s part. Either way, the shame of giving her away ironically kept her from reclaiming her, instead deciding to ignore the issue altogether and resume her life as though nothing had ever happened.[/indent]
[indent]The lack of a parental figure in her life and a stable family made it difficult for her, emotionally. Being separated at a young age from her parents was the foundation for most of Suspiria’s self-esteem issues. She felt utterly alone during this time. At first, she didn’t understand why she was always being passed along between different families except for, as the small inkling of a thought in the back of her head suggested, the idea that perhaps, she was always doing something wrong so she had to leave. As she grew older, she understood that this wasn’t the case, but the shadow of doubt always lingered and on occasion, this sorrow would engulf her.[/indent]
[indent]She was always rather shy and the lack of consistency in her life caused her to withdraw from social activities. She focused primarily on academics and measured her self worth in grades. She knew with her regular moving that it would be easy to fall behind, so she put in the extra effort not to at the cost of friendships.
However, being in so many different family arrangements, it made her open-minded and tolerant of different people. She became self-reliant and independent because she had to be, but she never wanted to become cold and hardened to the world around her.[/indent]
[indent]Her academic interests were geared towards STEM careers. She excelled in math and algebraic thinking, as well as hard sciences such as chemistry and biology. What she wants her dream job to be changes over time, but currently she wants to be a marine biologist. Not one that works out in the deep oceans, but one that focuses on local organisms, especially mollusks and small crustaceans.[/indent]
[indent]It was during this time when she was a sophomore in high school that she began to explore more of her own identity. Originally she was born male, and her name was Fillan. She always had long hair and used to speak in a quiet, low voice. She never quite felt comfortable with her own body or the very notion of masculinity, and never had many male friends growing up. Due to a lack of knowledge about LGBTQ+ and her nature of passively accepting society's gender norms and standards, she persisted as a male for virtually all of her childhood.[/indent]
[indent]It wasn't until she was in mid-teenage years that she began to seriously consider that she might be transgender. She took cautious steps at first and didn't come out to everyone. Even though she knew in her heart of hearts that she was a woman, she was very confused and unsure of how to go about it. She had to reach out to her closest friends at the time for advice on her dilemma and they helped her with her gradual transition.[/indent]
[indent]Currently she's enrolled in college with a major in marine biology and a minor in mathematics. She aspires to help marine wildlife and show others the importance that the world's oceans, creeks, and streams hold. She owns a fat, lazy, hairless cat named "Shale" and takes care of nurturing her small indoor garden of cacti and decorating the interior of her new cozy dorm.[/indent]
