[center][color=a36209]Ravi had been born and raised in an Indian province known as Himachal Pradesh. At the time he and his parents barely had a rupee to their name. In an effort to give their son a better life, his mother thought it would be best for Ravi to be adopted into an  American family. Once the paperwork had been signed and everything was made nice and legal, Ravi headed out to Gatling Texas to meet his new family, the Callums. The couple who had taken him in had been in their 40's. Don Callum spent his days as a court judge specializing mainly in civil dispute cases. His wife Martha was a part-time librarian who also took care of the house. After almost two decades of trying, they had given up on the idea of having their own children. Instead, they thought it would be best to adopt a child from an impoverished nation.

His first year of middle school would consist of all the necessary courses one would take, but all his electives were remedial in an effort for him to adjust in his new setting. At first the transition was pretty hard on him. Personality-wise, Ravi had always been a quiet child. He believed words held power and that one should be wise when using them. That and the fact that he was still trying to perfect his English caused him to be an easy target among bullies. It seemed to be an easy way for the big, dumb, brutes to build their self-esteem. With the sorrow of saying goodbye to his biological family mixed with his inability to fit in, Ravi began to lose all hope toward his new future in America. As a way to have an outlet for the constant onslaught of negativity, Ravi would frequently write poems and short stories as a way to channel his anger. Out of all the subjects he had studied, he was most fascinated with English. Probably because he saw mastering it as a way to master communication.

Ravi moved to Seattle Washington to sign with a publisher and begin his career. His days were filled with book signings, tours, writing, story boards… Over time he became a very well known and successful author. In an effort to escape the busy life he created, he decided to look into relocating so that he was out of the public eye. While driving through Arizona, Ravi came across the creepy town of Coalfell. He accidentally ran over a sharp object thus getting a flat tire. While waiting for his car to be repaired, he decided to check out the town and see what it had to offer as far as a possible new home. He currently resides at the Motel Cadillac while contemplating his new situation.[/color][/center]
