[@Torack] Hmm... well, [@GreivousKhan] has already expressed interest in the game, and I usually only six players, maximum, but if you both want to make an application, I'll see what I think of them and consider if both of you would fit. [s]copypasta, anyone? Khan, this does have a few extra things on the end.[/s] The basic summary of the IC is this; the original cast, being Vaal the Kobold Sorcerer (Tangletail), Rhaeyla the Aasimar Monk, though she appears to be human (Eleven), Caw the Kenku Rogue (Vertigo), Surina the Dragonborn Barbarian and Magdar the Dwarf Cleric (their players dropped out) were hired by two human twins, Sebastian (Fighter) and Cassandra (Druid) to escort them to the town of Greenrest. Just as they came within sight of the town, an army, accompanied by a blue dragon, began their assault. The party has just rescued four humans, the Swift family, and are in the process of making their way toward the keep. There are currently two other player characters somewhere in the city; Fran, the Tiefling Warlock (Lucius Cypher) and Mists on the Mountain, the Tabaxi Cleric - though he identifies as a Rakasta, tiger-like tabaxi, mechanically a Tabaxi/Half-Orc hybrid (Harbinger Of Ferocity).
[s]Fran is at the keep and Mists is at the cathedral[/s]
Now, the reason that I've given Sebastian and Cassandra stat blocks is that this chapter of the story can be considered incredibly difficult; they're there to make things a little easier [s]and because they're characters that I already had[/s]. Magdar and Surina have also been relegated to this role, though I don't plan on keeping all four around for the entire chapter. I do have a few preferences that I'd like to state before we begin, but if you can sufficiently sway me, I can let some of them slide.

Background and class overlap. This is a minor preference, but I prefer that the player characters do not choose to take the same class and/or background of other players. This doesn't include Sebastian, Cassandra, Surina or Magdar; you can, for example, be a barbarian with the noble background. Race overlap is fine by me.
Monstrous races/Alignments. Characters who have unconventional aspects like these (see: Vaal) must have justifiable reasons to have them. Tangletail and I went over some things in PM's, and we went with a kobold-mage staple; he believes himself to be a dragon, but as a kobold, he is weaker than most. So he needs [s]meatshields[/s] allies to stand with him. He is LE, but is capable of doing good in the name of his personal interests. Some races are off-limits, - yuan-ti, triton, lizardfolk, gith, and anything that comes from Eberron or Ravnica. For various reasons, they don't really fit this setting. However, you could play as a drow elf, etc.
Class preference. Now, this is the one I consider the least important overall, but we are lacking in two general areas right now; melee-focused and casters. We have Rhaeyla is melee-focused, Vaal is spell-focused, and Fran, Caw and Mists, who sit in the middle (Caw will be an Arcane Trickster, but so far prefers his bow). Basically, if you're interested in creating a character, please consider someone who is either focused on melee or focused on spells. 😅
Attributes. We're using point buy, as opposed to rolling. Rolling can be fun, but this way, everyone starts out on a roughly level playing field. We don't have someone with a 14 and someone with an 18 in their main stats, etcetera.
Equipment. You must take the gear provided by your class and background. Nobody is rolling for gold in this game. If you like, you can trade-in your weapons/armour from your class for different kinds, e.g., swap a warhammer, a versatile bludgeoning weapon, for a longsword or battle-axe - they all have the same damage. Or, you can trade in a weapon and a shield for a two-handed weapon, if you're proficient in martial weapons. With armour, you can only go weaker. If you want your fighter to have scale mail, you're passing up your chainmail.
Multiclassing. This is something I covered a long while ago, but if you want to multiclass, you must have a combined character level equal to or greater than the number of classes you already have (so 3, 6, 9, 12, etc,). No Abserds here.

If you have any other questions, let me know.
