[@Archangel89] Stats alone are both important and not important. That is to say, having 100 in Physical Defense doesn’t mean you’re invincible: it just means that you have the highest level of defense for a character of your level. And I’m sure there are some techniques or attacks that either aim for your weaker defenses like magic defense or ignored your defenses entirely via damage over time effects or just doing percentile damage. Not to mention if You put so much points into defense you won’t be able to put them into offensive stats, so even if you’re hard to kill you’ll also not be much of a threat. And if you don’t have agility than you’d best have a range option otherwise characters can just kite you to death. And if you don’t use a lot of magic abilities, you don’t really need MP but if you do you will need a lot of MO if you want to consistently use your specials and not just your basic attacks all the time. Ultimately stats aren’t as important as what skills you have. Any buffer type caster could probably just stack buffs to make them statically the strongest character, but with out the techniques and skills to utilize them they’re just an over buffed mob.
