Point noted.  How about he has this sword in his workshop, but doesn't lug it around with him until (if) he becomes a Toa.

Point noted again, however, that then begs the question of is this so early within the timeline that these six Turaga may be among those first few that never were Toa?  Because even if they're partially mechanical they can't live forever.  Those first few would have died at some point, I'm sure.
