Dresses simply, usually in some kind of working clothes. Favors a well-worn, black denim jacket that seems to be a size too big for him, but he wears it anyway. Usually wears a black cadet cap along with it. Very fit, and much stronger than his minuscule frame would suggest.
[Personality]
Withdrawn and sullen; prone to the occasional angry outburst. Spends a lot of time lost in thought, or wandering aimlessly. Likes to ride his bike to give himself time to himself to think. Loves to paint and visit arcades, but hides his interest for some reason (not that he has much time to indulge his hobbies). Can sometimes show extreme loyalty to family and the few friends he has, which combined with his aggressive attitude reminds one of a very small, very angry dog. Their family home had to be sold, his mother and father had to get multiple jobs just to survive in the new and hostile climate, and many nights were spent going hungry, just to stretch every yen as far as it would go. Then, of course, things got worse. While entering high school, Haruki's father was arrested- some trumped-up charges about Yakuza involvement or rebellion against the occupation or some other BS like that. His family was devastated, especially Haruki himself, who now had to get part-time work himself, just to keep he and his mother afloat. While his uncle stepped in as much as he could, things were still harder than ever before. Haruki seethed at the injustice of it all, angry at every inch the Americans took, and every mile he had to give just to keep his head above water. He's getting by nowadays, he and his mother making the best of their situation while his father languishes in prison. But even as things get better, little by little, he can't let go of the hate, the anger. And he spends the time he has to himself hoping for something- anything- that can bring the country's oppressors down a peg or two. If only...

???
