He kicked the body of the hen under a table and when he raised his head he saw Xavier talking, followed by his sister. When they finished Adalbert was going to flip the finger to the men that threatened him when Katherine just grabbed his hand without warning
("Oh, womanly contact. Damage control, damage control...")
They seated on a table, ironically, the one with the dead chicken under it, and the girl inquired about Stahl.
"Oh, one of my favorite topics. There was this time when my father was fighting an enemy barbarian, back when enemies were other humans and not monsters, how sad... But the point is that this guy was trying to hit Stahl with a throwing axe and..."
The story about how Stahl hooked the helmet of a barbarian with his lance and when he came back to the main camp someone confounded the silhouette with the one of an enemy and created a great chaos went on for a while and ended up with Adalbert laughing. He lifted the mug that he had stolen from a nearby table when nobody was looking and drank from it before continuing, this time with a more serious tone in his voice
