[b]Appearance:[/b] Captain Hido seems to be a normal ronin (masterless samurai) with a pair of katana, mainly to hide the fact he's a pirate captain. He wears a normal dark blue hakama with a dark purple haori and average geta sandals and white tabi. His hair, when not on his ship, is the regular samurai topknot, though it is always let loose upon the ship.
[b]Brief History:[/b] Gennosuke Hido grew up in a fancy palace as the son of a lower noble and best friends with the prince. As the boys aged, they grew apart, causing many arguments when they tried reconnecting as young adults. With his best friend hating him, he joined a ship as a cabin boy. He was way out of his element with the hard work. When the ship was attacked by pirates, he was first to grab a sword and take up arms. Seeing his bravery, the pirates destroyed the rest of the crew and took him, offering him to join them. He was hesitant at first but joined them to help take down the corrupt imperial prince. Years of anger welled up and his knowledge was extremely helpful against the enemy ships they passed. Eventually, he made his way up the ranks of the ship until he was the captain's right-hand man. In a particularly tough battle against a few imperial ships, the captain died, leaving Gennosuke to captain the men. As the newly appointed Captain Hido, he led the men into fending off and destroying the attacking ships, leaving no survivors along with the enemy wreckage.
