It was his words that ignited a small fire within her as he spoke of her people. Anger bubbled up within her, but before she could speak the young bear featured girl appeared to take their order. Elsea had also noticed the strange thing that happened with Kyran’s eye, but she was too distracted by other things to question him on it. She focused on a spot on the table as she tried to calm herself when it came her turn to order. ”Go ahead and skip me. I’ve just realized I’m not all that hungry.” She told the girl and then patiently waited for the others to finish ordering. Once she was gone she finally spoke up, looking at Kyran now with irritation plain on her features. ”Humans NEED to learn how to fight? Nay, they NEED not to learn how to do anything. We did not ask to be here, we did not ask to fight YOUR war. If you force them into anything than you are no better than Aklenroth. I will not stand for anyone forcing anyone into something and if you try I promise you I will fight you until my dying breath.” Her hands were clenched tightly in her lap as she glared at Kyran. She then turned her attention to Elthrael. ”This goes for you as well. You speak of Risa and you try to sway her to use her alleged royal power, but have you stopped to ask her if that’s something she wishes for? How much power will she really hold if she does decide to try? From what I understand there are two fairy kingdoms, aye? Will she hold sway in both kingdoms or will it just he hers? Even then, that is only ONE race she holds sway over and I’m willing to bet that is not enough.” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment as she tried to regain her composure. ”Kyran does make a valid point on something, though, and that is that if it is to be war we need to mentally prepare for it. Who here knows what a war entails? Who here has truly fought in a war? Have any of you stood on a battlefield? Have you been engaged in a battle where emotions are running high, you’re exhausted and so frightened to the point you can no longer tell friend from foe? Have any of you watched as your friends fight and die around you?” She looked between all of them now, watching for reactions to her words. She thought back to her grandfather when he’d come home from a battle with the English. He was haunted by so many things and often madly spoke of the horrors he’d witnessed. It chilled her to this day seeing him in that state. ”These are the things every one of us needs to prepare for if it is to be war. It will change all of us and I promise you it will not be for the better. There will be things that will haunt you until you die.” She finished and finally fell silent as she let the gravity of everything she just said sink in.
