It's kind of ironic, in a funny way. She came into the mess area for a simple cup of morning tea and they were all preparing to go out to a full-on tea ceremony. She wasn't going, herself. Not only was it just not going to do when her tea was already at hand, but...Asagi had pretty much not been interested in the social event, overall. Her so-called relationship with people was largely professional. Friendly, but professional. Some traditions, she would embrace. Others, she would not. It was the way of things. Asagi got a proper greeting out of Chelsea and at least a wave out of Bykov. It's all good. Besides...there was something else she could do. As she drank her drink, Karine accessed the system once more and discovered that, yes, the training room was once more available. Someone had gone in there with a mop and a wheeled container for all the robot bits. Seohyung had been in there with his usual routine of trying to get himself killed and...it just wasn't worth it, was it? I'll show you what I mean. Finishing her drink, she set out to the same area that Seo had been in previously. You wouldn't even smell the blood. This place, though... It was more than a robot arena. I mean, there were - in fact - gonna be fighting robots in here, but it did more than that. Slipping on a pair of VR glasses, Asagi unlocked the full interactivity of the room. She could've synched her own eyes with the way the room worked, but...why mess with her own perceptions? Throwing off her coat and preparing her standard weapon loadout, she set the system and switched off a few features of her own hardware. When practicing, Asagi preferred to actually make sure her own skills were in decent shape, so she switched off her targeting reticles and vector pathing. You know, all that Robocop stuff that allowed her to automatically lock onto a target. ACCESSING NSF TRAINING ROOM>>>>> . . . . . DONE
NSF TRAINING ROOM
Please Select Battle Level: "Level 40." Select VR Environment: "City, Evening." Special Options?: "Changable surroundings." The room actually had pads that would push out and in to change the elevation of everything you were standing on or how much room you had to maneuver, making the environment that much more difficult. Karine preferred the challenge to keep her from getting sloppy on footing and such. From there, she setup a particular music mix and synched it to her earbuds. This was why Seohyung needed to stop killing himself the way he did, or at least use more guns. The sword is really a backup weapon. In full combat gear, plenty of ammo, the first song cued up, which was ironically one of the last songs, but that's what ya get for hitting Random. The countdown began and Asagi soon started her own training regiment. Right now, her settings made this place look like she was playing Super Hot, but time moved regardless of whether she did. Out came the combat machines, and she immediately opened fire moving, taking down several with her swift motions and an accuracy that was well-honed even when all her parts were made of flesh. That was the tragedy of Seo: Asagi was better while handicapped, and he was wasting his time trying to overperform when he was underprepared. Of course, she herself was not without failing, but what she didn't fail at was the job. It was the one thing she definitely wouldn't slip-up in. No cure for random-ass circumstance... Asagi ducked and rolled, and without even the coat in her way, had no limitation in movement as she fired into robots, or even slammed one into others. Even when one tried to point-blank her, she automatically snapped it away with disarmament training back in the force. All of this, and there was still a certain sadness in her. Even while disabling what were essentially cheat devices from training, there was the fact that she could also last longer than Seohyung, just because her arms and legs would simply not tire, and she couldn't make them respond thus. She'd outperform him on sheer stamina because she was barely using any, by comparison. Also, while his sword were impressive, she still knocked off a robot's head by hand with a well-placed kick. So yeah, she'd be at this for a while, beating other people's scores.
