Basically, a RP based off the game Robot Unicorn Attack 2 centered around robot unicorn racers where I hand-wave all the sci-fi because let's be real, I'm only in this for the couture gowns and sparkly aesthetics Because there is so little of the world/sci-fi developed, I'd be totally down if you wanted to develop stuff on your own and then run it by me. I figure there'd be some kind of place where I could compile everything that people came up with on their own, if that's something that people wanted This is the basic premise I have written up:
Robot unicorn racing: a sport dubbed as ‘glitter-clad annihilation’ by Unicorn City’s most infamous tabloids–and rightfully so. Racers decked out in jewels and gemstones gallop through the treacherous tracks in surprisingly functional stilettos, dashing recklessly through shimmering stars and maneuvering their way around deadly plasma beams, running the risk of smashing their unicorns into its component robot parts when they misjudge that one tricky jump…. Indeed, robot unicorn racing is a candy-coated cream puff of a sport with a tough-as-nails center. Racers jump and chase high scores and gold medals in a pre-teen girl’s fever dream made flesh with a skill and precision that makes the brutal sport look pretty. But even with all the glitz and glamour of the industry, insiders will tell you that there is nothing even remotely pretty about the machinations that go on behind-the-scenes. The hours are long, the competition is cutthroat, and most of all, the higher you climb, the harder you fall…

The Estrellian Federation (TEF) A a collection of three planets (Ice World, Lava World, and Sky World), plus Unicorn City, a floating metropolis that connects them all. They are known for their cutting-edge technology, booming economy, and thriving entertainment industry-from glitzy fashion shows to robot unicorn racing, they’ve got it all. Robot Unicorn Racing 1) History: robot horses (half horse, half robot) first started being developed about 50 years ago, but progress was slow. Robot unicorns were created thirty years ago, and a couple years later, robot unicorn racing exploded onto the scene when a Sky World talent agency bought the rights to a set of robot unicorns from the original manufacturer and turned them into an entertainment product. Mechanical unicorns are still a relatively new phenomenon; approximately ten years ago, there was a wave of anti-robot sentiment as a group of scientists working for one of the larger unicorn manufacturing companies accidentally released a rogue AI into Unicorn City, where it then conducted a series of terrorist attacks, but everything returned to normal a few years later. 2) How the Industry Works: agencies (there is one main one for each world, as well as dozens of smaller/more minor ones) provide the unicorns (which they commission from manufacturers), and then they look for racers to compete with the unicorns. The industry is very female-dominated, though male racers are starting to gain popularity. When a girl is scouted, it’s half about actual skill and half about their looks and/or personality, as sponsorships and advertising revenues and partnerships with fashion labels are mostly how the agencies earn money (although, it was 100% about actual skill when the industry was first getting started). Throughout the years, the robot unicorn racing industry has gotten increasingly competitive, because agencies are always looking for someone newer, younger, prettier, et cetera. These days, racers are a mix of celebrities, models, and actual racers, thanks to the commercialization of the industry, and there are definitely instances where girls get scouted solely because their outward appearance goes well with a certain unicorn. However, if they want to stay relevant in the industry, these girls have to pick up the in’s and out’s of unicorn racing very quickly. +info about scoring, agencies, and each planet and such that I'm refraining from pasting here but will provide upon request!
As for the actual robot unicorns, it would be mostly me providing the pics/stats, and you'd be allowed to modify things but I guess big modifications (i.e. changing the racing specialty) would have to go through me, to ensure that we have a balance. She’s strong and sturdy, and very, very resilient. Running Speed: Moderate Endurance: Moderate Flying Speed: Ascends gracefully Strength: High Rate of Acceleration: Moderate/medium Racing Strengths & Specialties: Sparkle Charmer is, if nothing else, very strong. Her ‘dash’ is one of the strongest ones in the industry, and she breaks through stone golems and stars and laser geysers with ease, getting both herself and Snow through these obstacles with sheer force alone. In addition, the combination of Sparkle Charmer’s flying speed and strength means that she is able to pull off fancy swirls and other flying tricks that other unicorns may not be able to hold and/or perform for very long. Other than that, Sparkle Charmer seems deceptively average in all other fields, but make no mistake about it-there is a reason Snow and Sparkle Charmer have stayed in the industry for as long as they have. Because what Sparkle Charmer lacks in speed and precision, she makes up for in sheer experience. Both unicorn and racer are seasoned veterans, and even without the best stats possible, the two of them know how to work with each other to win a race. Racing Weaknesses & Shortcomings: Sparkle Charmer is not a very subtle (for the lack of a better word) robot unicorn. She’s not nearly as nimble or as agile as some of the other unicorns out there, and complex dressage maneuvers are beyond her capabilities. She is also not a very fast unicorn. She’s not slow, not by any means, but in a race of sheer speed alone, she would never stand a chance against some of the other unicorns. Sparkle Charmer’s precision/accuracy falls somewhere in the middle. It’s definitely not her strongest suit.
Like the title says, this is a very experimental and still WIP idea that I might not end up going through with. Let me know what y'all think though!!!! <3
